So happy we have Tony as our head coach! I would have loved to play for this man and I am 15 years older than this guy!! Pay the man and lock him in. He has built Tennessee baseball in a national power. One last thing congrats to Evansville and those great players and their head coach!

What a great opening statement. Anyone should want to play for this man. Supportive of his players. He has their back. Having that foundation established enables everyone to go out and do their best to achieve success. Don't pay attention to a bunch of wanna be reporters that are just a bunch of talking heads. GO VOLS

I would’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing for Tony V. He will take Tennessee Baseball to the mountaintop at some point. Maybe this year. Maybe not. I know one thing though. I define that Tennessee Baseball program as “SUCCESS”. This is coming from a lifelong Bama guy.

Wow! As the bastard child of an ‘80s Vols player is I could joke every “VFL” at football games couldn’t say what baseball game they’d been to. Coach breathed life into death with Vandy in its back door. I’d loved to play for this man 👍🏽

Best F'n coach ever! Would be amazing to have gotten to play for a guy with that much passion but also REAL concern for his team! He not only cares deeply for his players but as he showed here that he just really is a great guy by his comments on the Evansville player & team as a whole! Between him & coach Hype UT is on the way to winning consistently for a an extended period!

I’m an LSU GIRL all the way and Jay Johnson is amazing. Tony Vitello is a fantastic coach and leader. He lives for those guys. He’s direct, has a ton of personality, and really makes so many valuable points and often teaches without pure intention to. I love his NIL comments. LSU was preseason #1 and look what happened to us the first 4 weeks of SEC PLAY. But, a team with real love and commitment to one another will find a way to win. I can tell Tony builds team first and if you aren’t 100% a team guy, don’t waste my time. He also notices how hard the competition plays. He sees success in more ways than the W-L RECORD. THEY have an attitude and you can tell where the confidence and success comes from. I also think he is hilarious. Some people are born to coach men, women, basically kids. Vitello is one I wish was around when I was growing up. Jay Johnson is one I wish was around, and the class of the UK Coach-these coaches are the winners because of what they do for their men. Way to go coach! You can come be a business coach whenever you want. You’ll have everyone running through a brick wall like the Evansville kid. Good Luck in Omaha. It was earned! Never Given. ⚾️Go be ballers fellas!!

For every Tony V, there's a billion marketing types trying to define what matters to you. It's their job, their goal in life, their need to get your cash, support, your money. You define what success looks like to you; not your spouse, parent, sibling, boss, deity. Just you.

Are you NOT supposed to ask tough questions anymore? Major league baseball has become boring because reporters are too cowed to ask questions. Is this is where college baseball is now headed? I'm for Tennessee and I like this coach, but this rant makes no sense to me. You won the game, coach. I expect those who asked you questions so bothersome to you are as much a patriot as Noah Webster was. Honestly, I thought it was Daniel Webster. Good luck Tennessee and Coach Vitello. And sports reporters, don't be cowed. It is a game and these coaches make a lot of money.
@misterdecember23 ай бұрын
Asking if a season would be considered a success if they lost is not a tough question. If you listened to what he said, he explained what success was. One of the biggest things sports writers thrive off of is hyperbole and I’m glad Tony V doesn’t allow it.

@johnmozzy3540 Cool story, it still virtually means nothing lol I love how Texas fans think just because they have a better facility and "more" money they can cherry pick anyone they want lol Vitello has expressed his love for UT countless times and is very active on the campus/environment, if he's happy and keeps winning UT will pay him whatever it takes to keep him.
