Awesome. You’re great hosts. I bought this deluxe edition myself. When I saw the theme and the production I knew it would beautiful. I’m starting with solo play. Can’t wait to open it up.

When I unboxed this and played my first game I thought it was fantastic. The artwork is beautiful and the solo game is also very good. Not disappointed at all on the price I paid for this deluxe version.

Re: rules comment at 32:35 of the video. Unless the rules have changed in the deluxe version, any dress made by a master can be displayed in a golden thimble space. It does not matter if the pattern was restricted to a master.

This is where I draw the line. Old games that get released again at 5 times the original price. I sold the original for $200 last year, just before new one was announced.

What does this comment even mean? Is this tongue in cheek or a complaint? I'm genuinely curious.

Draws the line at an expensive deluxe addition but has no problem selling his original version at five times the price. Hmmmmm
@shatnershairpiece4 жыл бұрын
@@windyhillbomber With an offer of $200, I will sell any game, no matter how good it is. What I’m saying is, that when games are re-released, I may sometimes be tempted to buy them again, but not when they cost five times as much as the original, plus huge box, and don’t even look as good.
@Nozdormu19822 жыл бұрын
@@shatnershairpiece I disagree for one simple reason. From my perspective it is better to have a few really good and good looking games then many games you have sitting on the shelf.

As a rules clarification, when setting up the journeymen for the journeymen school, you only take 2 journeymen from the level 2 employees, not 2 random employees, so there are only journeymen in that stack. Same for setting up the masters school with level 5 employees. Additionally, only one set of festivity dresses should be used to avoid the duplication.

Great video and enthusiasm. Rococo is a favorite and we are debating whether or not we should get this updated version. Seems like the upgraded components and included expansions might put this over the top!

Great to hear again from you two! I have just started to watch this video and I guess I am like halfway through the rules, but... I am amazed how this game resembles Prêt-à-Porter, which I really enjoyed :) looking forward to hearing your final thoughts and if you'll like this one you should definitely take a look at the one mentioned earlier :)
@grajzgiuseppe12424 жыл бұрын
Maybe I should explain myself - resembles in terms of the theme used, actions that can be taken and generally what players do ;) The art is obviously a way more modern in P-a-P, but which one's better that's a matter of personal taste :)

You make very good videos and you're being quite professional with some kind of studio, good audio and more than one good camera set up. So I heard what you said but I still don't get why you do this so well without getting paid, even though you have 21k subs. (unless I'm missing something, you have no ads, no paid playthroughs and no link to any Patreon.)

Contrary to popular belief, running a channel like this takes relatively little investment outside of time. You can get similar quality on a cell phone these days. Also, we just love doing this. Taking money would make this too much like work and create a sense of obligation that isn’t worth the payout. I’ve seen where this path has led others and it’s just not for us. This is a great question that we will answer in more detail on our upcoming monthly Q&A video. Thanks!

Lovely game but stupidly overpriced ... you could get two or maybe even three equally good games for the price. Wish I had the original version of this game... or wish the non deluxe version was optional.
@Nozdormu19824 жыл бұрын
While I agree to some point. I have a very small collection and I intend to keep it that way. I rather have some very over the top board games then multiple games that are just ok. A game is obviously more then just the components, but a good game with outstanding components :D. Sign me up :P. My point being. You can go for quantity, but you should go for quality. Life is short.

Was going to buy this one, but that price tag is just exploitive in my opinion. It almost disappoints me that people are paying that much for this type of game potentially meaning more publishers will go down the same route... ALG, I know you guys obviously get given games, but do you have an opinion on whether publishers have a duty on not pricing so many people out of games, or whether they should feel free to price whatever they want to and/or can?
@AntLabGames4 жыл бұрын
This is a great question and we are adding it to our new monthly comment/question video. It’s worth discussing for sure. This happens to be one of our favorite games and no expense was spared on components and design, so for us it’s worth the price tag. However, the question of COULD an expense have been spared to keep cost down is worth exploring, so we will discuss this later.
