New builder here. When measuring for trigger length do we leave about one inch of clearance when bending elbow? Thanks.

It's more of a personal preference and technique driven. I have rods with 9 to 13 inch triggers. Shorter ones for jerk bait and topwater, mid for geneal use and longer for flipping and big swim baits.

Love your video’s! Learning a lot and will start my first build soon. Question about How to find the spine on the bottom part? That one seems to be quite tricky with a stiff blank🤔. The top part wasn’t too hard for me but the bottom part difficult to put a proper bend into it. Or is it only important for the top part?

Only the top matters, but great question, keep em coming.

The tan ones are Wynn Grips which are available in a lot of places. I usually get mine from voodoorods.com or mudhole.com

Northfork Composite 6406 you say? I can't find that on their site.
