This is 100% spot on analysis. I think it's very important for the audience to give retirement to these directors by outrightly rejecting their movies. I too have respect for Puri but he needs a good scriptwriter, in fact all these directors need script writers. Telugu film industry definitely needs a lot of new directors with fresh ideas and stories. I was hoping directors like Praveen Sattaru, Deva Katta, Swaroop RSJ etc would set a strong precedence but unfortunately that hasn't happened.

Absolutely! We are at least 20 years behind Hollywood in filmmaking, not due to a lack of talent, but because the right directors aren't given opportunities. Some directors need good scripts and writers, but I'm confident we'll see technically advanced films in the coming years. Directors like Rajamouli and Nag Ashwin will pave the way for this transformation.

What we need is more directors who can explore a wide variety of genres. In Tamil, they have so many directors who can deliver quality movies without expensive budgets like Nithilan Swaminathan, Karthick Naren, Karthik Subbaraj etc. I like Adivi Sesh’s script selection and I think Naveen Polishetty has the capability to explore different movie genres. Vijay D, Vishwak Sen have the potential but again they are let down by poor scripts and shoddy directors.
