Great lineup! I also don't throw spinning setups much, so I switched to BFS - I highly recommend the Expride B 7'2" ML paired with a JDM Aldebaran BFS. I went from throwing very little Finesse to now about 75% because of this combo. My crank setup is similar to yours with the addition of Megabass 7' Crank Elseil paired with JDM Daiwa 70 CT SV (way cheaper thru JDM) for the Megabass Z-cranks. Those Kadens are really good for the money!

You can't just say "huge no no", there is no logic in that.

@@FishinwithGRAMPS What if I say IMO that's a huge no no? Seriously tho, what are the benefits? Only one I can think of is if you're worried about pike/bowfin biting you off. Then a heavy mono leader would help. But that's it. Reasons not to go with a leader- you don't have that weak connection point of a connection knot. With frog fishing you really wanna lay into them when setting the hook. And to go along with that, mono has stretch. You don't want that when trying to set those thick frog hooks into the fish. And if you're walking the frog in open water it's much easier on straight braid.

@@Cbasschin If it gives you more confidence that's great. But a bass isn't NOT gonna eat a frog because it's on strait braid. If we're talking bottom-contact baits, then there's an argument.

I use the Evergreen Combat Stick Jackhammer model (7'3" Heavy Power/Moderate Fast Action, 1/2-2oz Glass) for Chatterbaits. They just came out with a new Combat Stick line and a high end chatterbait rod. You should check them out. It's my favorite chatterbait rod, the model I have, the original is a bit heavy, but I've gotten used to it. I have it paired with a Shimano Curado MGL 150 and it's one of my top 5 combos.

All the JDM sites look sketchy. If you go to any of the good ones though, you can trust them completely. I recommend Asian fishing portal, Japan lure shop, or digitaka.
