Rod is funny, he's like the Duracell battery. Yes, he just has so much energy. It's great though the audience loves it❤❤❤Brian, thank you for uploading the song and the event. One day we're going to have to meet just to shake hands and say how do you do? Maybe our children don't remember. However, we do remember greeting people by meeting them in person. Well those days are gone lol 😂😂 You got to keep a sense of humor. Love it. This particular video is really good. Have a great weekend and thank you for sharing 💐💐💐💐

It was a perfect day to run across this. I needed to hear Rod Stewart singing something other than the same 21 songs and he sings over and over for the last 10 years or more. He needs to do this one more time and do more songs from the Mercury years and the early Warner Brothers years... for the fans of his like myself who's been with him for 55 years. He's been by far my most expensive habit😂

Having seen Rod with the Faces back in the early 70's, this was bittersweet. The old songs brought back so many memories. I'm sure it's the same with everyone. The young ones today have nothing that compares.

Me too. All his oldies make me feel so old. I bought all those albums. But if you look at it a different way, weren't we lucky to grow up with songs like this as our background to growing up.

I wish I had been at this concert. I love his oldies. I was out with my dog yesterday listening to Mandolin Wind, Reason To Believe and True Blue, on my ipod. He's got such a vast catalogue. Killing Of Georgie is such a well written story but so sad too. A classic.

A concert for hard core fans. I was there to see Rod and the support artists. Was disappointed that a lot of the songs would've only been known by hard core fans. People were leaving before the end and there was no encore! Not a patch on Jeff Llyne the year before.

So why does Rod keep saying that they onyl had a week to learn thises songs? With a high profile concert like Hyde Park I'd expect the set list to be nailed down weeks if not months in advance!
@Alex-ey9jl2 жыл бұрын
He was slightly exaggerating he had been rehearsing and playing these songs in Vegas months before this gig so I think he just said that to sorta brush off any mistakes that might be made. And also most of these songs had been in his setlist for one tour or another so the band weren't completely new to the material

I think a few of them may have been planned because he does mention the BBC asked him to cut down a few songs because of the time constraints but it is really dissapoiinting he hasn't sang mandolin Wind or passion in years I'd really love if he did them

I agree, although it was nice to hear you can make me dance, Angel and what am I gonna do Really wiuldve been nice to hear mandolin Wind or every Picture Tells a Story instead of new songs I get the plug but one would've been enough didn't need 3 But yeah again I agree such a massive catolouge wouldve been really interesting if he dove a bit deeper into his catolouge
