@MrJimmyboy1972 I was born in Canada to a Mother of Scottish descendants and a Father of Irish lineage. When I grew up I had friends who were protestant, catholic, jewish and half a dozen other creeds that didn't make a difference to me because my folks never force fed me any of that sectarian crap that's been nurtured and taught for hundreds of years. What I was baptized as doesn't matter, but I love Celtic and I admire someone who lets their kids choose what club they'll support.

Actually Hun is even used by rangers fans as well, its not religious per se but is linked to a certain German tribe that the royal family have roots in, of whom are linked very much to the protestant church

@barrioh what is a hun? is it the same as a tim or a fenian. my family are full of rangers and celtic supporters, i have two boys, one a rangers and one celtic. we have never have had any problems. my wife is catholic, i am church of scotland. no probs there. i have two children baptised catholic, one baptised church of scotland, and one baptised congregationalist. my six grandchildren are baptised across the card, and the other two who will arrive this year will be baptised. or not. who cares.

It has no religious connotation at all so why you list your family tree and their differing affiliations I don't know. Jock Stein, for instance, a fine Scottish protestant man, was a tim. Neil McCann, for instance, of Roman Catholic stock, was a hun. That answer your question mate?
