Rode changed the FR graph of NT1 4th Gen and made it exactly similar to the 5th gen FR graph, earlier the graph was very different and that seems to be a sham from Rode just to make the 5th gen seem to be almost identical to the 4th Gen. IMO, 4th Gen is still the best sounding NT1, 5th Gen is having a little bit of the annoying highs or harshness from the 1A, but its usb functionality is good with 32 bit float. The NT1A is just a terribly bright microphone, so if someone is looking to upgrade from the 1A to the 5th gen, go ahead…however if you have the 4th Gen and you don’t need USB or 32 bit float, just stay wherever you are

I am using NT1 5th gen with usb connect on smule, but the voice quality is really bad and distorted, do I need to download the recording from smule, normalize it and upload it back again the normalized version? I have installed Asio driver as well but don't understand the processing for Smule. Normally smule processes it based on it's own settings. I am using smule on desktop through bluestack application. Please help to solve this. When I use smule with XLR and mobile device connected to the audio interface it is good but the voice seems to be very sharp with less bass, as compared to other mic. I purchased this Mic as it had USB connectivity and no overhead of audio interface....
