It's weird because on my first listen I couldn't believe how anyone would prefer rodeo over astroworld but I'm on my 7th listen right now and there is no trap album that I like as much as rodeo, the psychedelic sounds, the layered production, the features, travis's performance, it all comes together for a masterpiece.

I almost immediately liked Rodeo more than ASTROWORLD honestly. Just based on overall vibe and personal enjoyment, there’s only one track I haven’t enjoyed. Literally everything else I haven’t stopped rotating lol

apple pie was the original outro for the album, hence the spoken outro from T.I. who also does the intro. although i love this entire album, personally i always felt like “never catch me” even as a bonus track was a better outro. and to your point about “ok alright” im pretty sure its put together that way to be a wild chaotic intro for the “ok” part into being just “alright” which is more chilled out to create the complete story/song which is what i love about it. also the hidden woman vocals in that song is SZA. and yes this album was VERY ahead of its time! best trap album oat imo

I hear ya man. I feel like a negative remark just sticks with people a little more than the positive ones. Especially if it’s about a song you otherwise love. So I’m sorry if it came off like I was dwelling on negative things, I really only disliked a couple songs. And the ones that have a build up that I don’t seem to enjoy and then they switch up and then it’s just wild and crazy… always end up being my favorite songs. So you gotta remember this is my first experience and I’m just navigating through it and sharing what comes to mind. I’ll do album reviews or probably a Travis Scott tier list once I get through the last projects. So that way I can show what stuck with me over time. Also if you have thoughts about a song I didn’t like, I’d love to hear it. Sometimes all it takes is someone saying something about a song to get me to rethink it. Someone commented some info about Apple Pie and I already want to go relisten again now lmao But anyway, thanks for watching man! I seriously did enjoy this album and can’t stop listening to it lol

Nice vid bro. My fav album ever, and on first listen I thought it was mid asf and HATED Flying High. Over time you will come to appreciate the production and layering, and tracks like flying high are some of my favorites now. Something you gotta understand is that hes creating atmospheres and environments through sound, so not every moment is going to be fast paced rapping or massive instrumentals. You gotta just chill and feel what hes giving you. This is part of what makes him one of the best psychedelic trap artists and a fan of drug users lmao
