There should be a rule where a developer can’t scrap 75% of what the past developers have done and “remake” the entire idea of the game. Kinda ruins the whole point of multiple people making a game together when one guy can constantly scrap the majority of the pasts guys work

It kinda felt like Wukaly (and first dev) was the only one who TRIED to help improve the game: everyone else was just saying how THEY wanted things to go, and would either ignore, reshape how they wanted it to be or completely get rid of the elements already there instead of ading to the game or progressing the damn story

Unfortunately this was like a 2 ppl make a game video bc kash and vista didn’t take any clues on their surrounds (like the watchers or the previous meshes) and rather decided to delete it all and do their own thing. 6 devs making a game should be like “I like what’s here, now how can I improve”, not decided “cool idea, but I’m gonna delete all of that and do my completely own thing”. You had the right idea in some past videos

I'm sure he and Kash are great devs, but i thought the purpose of having 6 people collaborate without communicating is to IMPROVE ON each other's work- not completely destroy and redo it. Imo Dev 1: 8/10, nice groundwork and cool idea, nice movement system Dev 2: 7/10, came up with the horror aspect, nice enemy idea, gun groundwork, built off dev 1 Dev 3: 7/10 dissed the sound effects lol, made much needed changes to the fence and wall, set the tone a lot better even if the scenery was changed later on Dev 4: 5/10, the lighting was a rlly good touch, i preferred the watchers over his monster tho, added the whole generator element, made the map look wayy better however smaller (i don’t get why he wanted the map smaller) Dev 5: 9/10, built off of previous work instead of replacing it, really pushed the watcher idea forward which i thought was honestly cool, cleaned up objectives and overall probably the most relaxing to watch in the vid Dev 6: 4/10, while being able to remake the story, add 10 objectives, and add some gameplay in that time was honestly cool, removing the gun and the watchers instead of making it more prominent because he couldn’t see it was questionable imo. The game suddenly lost the sense of accomplishment and instead just became walking through a forest to find batteries, which is something I’d expect in a scratch game for a grade 7 tech class. I think the scripting and innovation was good, however the storyline turned out bland and unoriginal Overall: i think the game started off as something I’d actually enjoy playing but then snowballed into a generic game with no real depth

@RoDev, the first rule of improv is "Yes, and...". You're going to get a whole lot of people complaining in the comments if the videos include multiple wipes. The quality and size of the game is limited by people working on the same stuff over and over again because they let their egos drive -- nothing truly impressive is going to come out. This game as-is is literally Slenderman. Replacement with better assets, extra detail, these sorts of things are fine. Wiping the entire gameplay to start over again is why there's so many high-voted people complaining. Jaeymo and Dman were literally wasting their time participating because their work got nixed in its entirety.

If there was a rule that said you could only add on to things, it would def either 1. be more impressive. Seeing them actually understand themes, art, etc. 2. be more chaotic. Seeing devs have to expand their inspirations because they are forced to go along with a story they know nothing about. This wouldve been the best case for the video and the viewers watching. Vista and Kash ruined the entire game, Vista changed it because he “couldn’t see anything” even though I’m pretty sure it’s darker and less spookier now. And Kash ruined and changed the entire storyline, and ruined pretty much all of Wukaly’s work. Obviously it’s not their fault since there was no contact in between the devs, but this just hurt me that they just deleted a bunch off of things made by other devs. I would’ve kept all their things and added in and maybe reworked things. I wouldn’t want to accidentally change the storyline or how it works.

The fact that he made the entire sky red and changed the entire map color just makes it look like he doesn’t know what spooky looks like. And I don’t see how he wouldn’t just add a flashlight. It’s obvious and basic things you add/don’t add in a map to make it look spooky. The topic is spooky, the topic isn’t cool. And I get that they had no communication, but come on. The theme and the story base is obvious.

I do like how dman didn’t just change the whole concept of the game, but instead upgrade the game to more detailed gameplay. He did a really good job in my opinion. Jaeymo: 10/10 I love the idea he had it made me sad that nobody else even noticed the blocks with sound that he made. DanCodes: 8/10 The Watchers was a good idea for the objectives. Dman: 9/10 Gotta say, everything he built and or reworked looked amazing. Especially the wall and the gate. Vista: 7/10 The moon light made it better and easier to see. The custom trees and rocks made it better. And the objective of finding batteries to turn on the light and kill the monsters/ watchers was great but it made me sad cause he destroyed everything that the previous guy made and spent all his time on. Wukaly: 9/10 He fixed some things like the objective showing in the cutscene. The adding of more objectives to go from chasing the watchers to finding the light. Kash: 6/10 I’m sorry😭 he’s usually my favorite cause he’s at the end and fixes stuff but this time he just removed everything and made it his own way. Those are my ratings!

dev 1: made some good building blocks. did what he could. 9/10 dev 2: improved upon dev 1, made some fun additions, 8/10 dev 3: made some very pretty stuff. wish he could do a little more, purely because he seems really talented. 8/10 dev 4: why. they worked so hard. 1/10. dev 5: had some fun concepts, built upon what he had, 9/10 dev 6: not sure why he changed the story, since there were various grammar issues,,,,… extra gameplay looked fun tho, so a 6/10

I played the game, but I didn't finish it because I was alone (I get scared playing horror games by myself). I’m going to invite my friends to play it with me. The first thing I noticed is that (sorry if my English is bad): -Slow teleportation. Even though you're already in the queue, it takes time to get teleported, or not get teleported at all. -After getting teleported, you can see a light bug (like it’s daytime for a split second) before the cutscene starts. -The game is kind of laggy, especially when you sprint. -When sprinting, you can see your lower body. That’s all for now because I got scared and quit the game, even though nothing was happening yet. I’ll edit this after I play with my friends.

It needed to have some rules. 1. Give as much time as the devs want to explore the map, if the last dev had unlimited time to explore he could've figured out the game. 2. Don't let devs scrape the entire thing, maybe 50% at most. 3. Maybe let then put one word as a hint, I know it isn't really fair since it's supposed to be a broken telephone, but it would be interesting. Otherwise great video, all the devs are great, wonderful work.

1st dev had an amazing idea, even if the game did give spooky vibes, it would have been way more interesting if it stayed as a story kinda game. The builders are hella talented, I loved how they worked it out besides the fact they also built a horror like game, which did bring in confusion..I don’t blame them, as no devs could communicate with one another, so it’s pretty understandable.The other scripters also had brilliant ideas, I love them all. And now, for the developer’s work I hated the most: the last one. He literally redid the entire game, didn’t pay attention to the details around and the quests whatsoever, ruined the entire point of the video. While his ideas were lowkey cool, he just ruined the game honestly. That’s not teamwork or improvising, its high ego thinking the rest of the developers’ works suck and that him ‘redoing’ it would just make us way more impressed or smth smh.

You need to do this again with the a rule of no deleting things, just adding onto or improving upon them like the builder did with the brick wall and gate. The one guy changed the entire game and he didn't read try to figure out what the other Devs we're planning before just scrapping it. If they couldn't do that, we're more likely to get a more finished game by the game that'll make the video way more enjoyable

While I think the end result of the game was cool, it hurt to see Kash and Vista completely destroy the other dev’s work. They are probably great devs, and I don’t want to hate on them, but I feel like this challenge was demolished by the two devs who completely changed everyone else’s work. They really only focused on what they wanted, and ignored every other clue and sign from the other devs about how the game could turn out.
