I was really looking forward to this game because I knew injuries meant we had to change the system. What we saw was a dynamic and fluid back 3 with Valle pushed high up as an attacking wing-back. But the exciting thing was McGregor and AJ became the 3rd defender in a back 3 when one went up the pitch. So when AJ went Callum dropped back and vice versa. But at times we just had a back 2 with both Callum and AJ and Callum all high up. This is an excellent alternative system for the Spfl Quinny, but I have doubts that this could work in Europe without playing this system more often. Kyogo was reborn playing in a 2 and in the number 10 role but 1 swallow doesn't make a summer. It was refreshing and a system I would call a Dynamic 3-5-2. Agree on that county Keeper he looks a 'Good yin'.

Interesting the compromises that we've been forced into have often worked out for us lately but is that because we've stumbled onto set-ups that suit us or is it more a case of having the best players who are able to work these problems and still regularly win the matches. Either way I suspect that BR will revert to his preferred set-up once everyone is available again. Hopefully he keeps these in mind should things not be going to plan A against YB or AV.

Should Rodgers and Kennedy be able to work this out they are supposed to be our elites

The exotic “formation” highlights the difference from domestic and European football. I like having 2 strikers on and Kyogo finding central pockets to pop into. Great shotstopping from their keeper but very poor limited distribution. Great breakdown as always 💚🍀

kyogo showed up just how versatile player he can be.WE must get him tied down to a longer contract.

Kyogo looks like a player who has been told he is leaving. He looked so sad when he scored so unlike him.

Yes, but surely the club don't want to sell him? My own hunch is that he might have just got fed up with his lack of service and now wants a pleasant change in the sun! One thing about Kyogo he obviously won't down tools if he is leaving and how Yang can be rated higher than Kyogo yesterday is beyond absurdity. Lies, Damned Lies & Statistics indeed!

Some of the criticism directed against Kyogo by some fans has been way over the top. It has been obvious for months that he hasn't been receiving the proper service from his teammates that the wee man himself brilliantly supplied yesterday to Yang for the penalty. And what is Quinny talking about when he talked about Kyogo 'missing a bit of a sitter' and 'a few good chances' as if he was at fault for fashioning these chances for himself and then only brilliant saves from the keeper preventing goals. I agree with those who claim Rodgers has previously sacrificed Kyogo to fit his system and yesterday's enforced change only supports that view, imv. FEED the wee man properly and he will deliver. 👍🏴🍀

This game highlighted how much Kyogo has been wasted since Ange.

Spot on! His technical brilliance has been completely nullified by a manager that doesn’t have the slightest clue how to play to the abundant strengths of the best striker we’ve had since Henrik. As yesterday proved, if you drop the narrow pish and play with proper overlapping width, your supply line dramatically improves. When it does, Kyogo scores.

Spot on , so much for the elite manager and coaches , and I'm a raging Tim , that squad we have if they are allowed o attack will run very every body up there ,surely everybody can see that now , width move it fast and we will score more not fxxxx rocket science , football is simple you don't need a degree to play it

Loathe to agree but you are absolutely correct!

I’m not loathe to agree! I just agree, a million passes against Utd for nothing! Nothing against the other mob last Thursday then we actually use wide men to set chances up for strikers and we score! Just who is this tactical genius who invented this type of play oh aye Jock Stein in the f@@@@@g 60’s BR you bore the tits right aff me mate.

@@leannecampbell4551 just talks utter pish, nothing positive to say ever, and due to the fact of where we are as a team That just shows your "her" real intentions #hundercover

Your False 9 idea is interesting, though I’m not sure if Kühn has the skill set for that very demanding job. I’d actually just like to see how we’d fare with Kühn and Kyogo as the wingers (with Idah, Kenny or Daizen at CF).

That is a good solution playing a false 9 in a CL game. The Celtic fans would not stand for that not playing an out an out striker in the Scottish premier league games.

Should always be playing 2 up top in this shit league and 3 at the back . In the huns game we were getting overrun in midfield and from Brugges onwards teams have figured out this 4 3 3 crap . Still crying out for a neil Lennon type player that does the ball winning and dirty work . Too many fancy dans in the that midfield and not enough battlers. Its about time Rodgers changed things . Its been needed for a while now
