Tony Drago has got to be one of the most under rated pool player. He is all pro and all business. Great player.

The 2 most respectable and polite players in pool are probably Rodney Morris and Ralf Soquet. Class act all the time.

iF NOT TRUE THEN VERY CLOSE TO TRUE, ALTHOUGH YOU NEED TO INCLUDE KO PING CHUNG IN THAT, AND KO COULD SPOT EITHER OF THEM AT LEAST A BALL OR GAMES ON THE WIRE.

Souquet is just too slow and robotic in my opinion
@TRANC3ak473 жыл бұрын
@@shayne.7770 agree. He is painfully slow sometimes. But he took the L like a champ and never felt bitter about it. It made him a world champion. He is not my favorite player at all, I like fast player, but I have to give him huge credit in being very respectable, professional and well behaved pool player.

I noticed that Tony wants to play singles match because he like his tempo more than anyone else. In Day 2, he got all the singles match and that says it all HAHAHHA
I've realized what's better being a pool ref, as opposed to a snooker ref, ...you don't have to keep digging the colored balls out while they're on a break !!
@seanscanlon9067 Жыл бұрын
I thought Rodney might reverse cut bank the one ball into the top right-hand pocket as we look at the table, using the six ball to make the pocket bigger.

It was definitely ‘ a race to 6 ‘ alright. Tony was awesome , Rodney was going well , just two mistakes and that was that .

Big Shame these videos are being uploaded with no care for the quality whatsoever. This aspect ratio. My god
@onnyt603 жыл бұрын
This is from 2007 and that is the aspect ratio (4:3) they used at that time. Not much can be done about that unless you want it to be stretched out to 16:9.
@martinsawicki27163 жыл бұрын
@@onnyt60 Trust me this is not 4:3. It's much narrower. The balls look like eggs. And 2007 was already recorded in widescreen just not 16:9. It was actually 1:66:1. I corrected it and made a comparison: imgur.com/1FrsnjA

@TRANC3ak473 жыл бұрын
Do you even know he won World Pool Championship as a full time snooker player ? Drago is a great great player with raw talent. It’s just not his game and his aspect. He is still a World Champ tho.
@tiptopperdagrasshopper11963 жыл бұрын
@@TRANC3ak47 just goes to show how the top players don't play like that. That might of happened 15 years ago but it's outdated.
@TRANC3ak473 жыл бұрын
tiptopper da grasshopper everyone has their own games and style. All top pro players don’t have the same stand and style either. You learn it the way you feel most comfy with. Drago has a snooker background and he will never ever need to change it to adapt to pool. Same as Ronnie or Steve Davis, they play the same way they do in snooker. The game surely evolved, but it evolved in strategy, not mechanism. I would say it turns more into a negative side when people started studying the racks more than working on their skill. Pool 15 years ago is much better.
@tiptopperdagrasshopper11963 жыл бұрын
@@TRANC3ak47 his hurried shots us by far the biggest hindrance to any 9ball, 1 pocket, 8 ball etc etc novice or intermediate player. To vouch for that style of play is outdated and only holding the sport back. Snooker isn't played in 95% of pool rooms in the USA I'd bet. With that being said when Drago was relevant was when players didn't care about fundamentals! You can tell through his style he's very ego driven. So while I do respect what this man accomplished when he did, he or his style would never make it the cut in today's world 9 ball or be invited to play in the misconi cup! So get off Drago's jock strap and smell the roses.
@TRANC3ak473 жыл бұрын
tiptopper da grasshopper lol his playstyle is ego driven ??? You surely doesn’t know shit about snooker or pool. There are numerous of different fundamental in both games and there are alot of pro players who play really fast and they still do good. Luc Salvas plays even faster than Drago. Ever heard about Rafael Martinez ??? And young guns like Josh Filler and Wiktor Zielinski play really fast too. The pace of their game is the way they feel comfy with. It won’t do any good to their game if they slow down because it will kill their rhythm. You can’t just look at those fast player and say to yourself “don’t be like this guy”. Let set this straight, it’s more like “ I can’t be like this guy and will never be like him” because like I said above, everyone has their own play style and they don’t copy each other. You don’t wanna copy him because you can’t, that’s why. Don’t cry about it
