The most amazing thing about Rodney is that he invented all of those tricks on a flat-ass board, no concave! Dude is incredible. My all time favorite skater, hands down.

The guy was so ahead of his time, it's unreal. I'm glad Rodney is getting the credit for what he's done for skating because his brand of genius and innovation is often ignored or wrongly credited to others.

The most impressive about RODNEY MULLEN is that he is a pioneer... AN ORIGINAL. nobody came before him to copy from. He just had the futuristic idea in him all the time. Clearly one of the GODS OF SKATE BOARDING. ✌️🤘🤙

There was a time thought I was a pretty decent skater, maybe had potential to go pro one day. The first Mullen video I saw my stomach dropped because I realized I wasn't decent at all, but I was also completely blown away by what I was seeing. I remember thinking "How the fuck is he doing that, it's just a plank with wheels on it?" It didn't really look like a skateboard. Even if someone could do every trick he invented and ten more, they would never have the same consistency, or level of innovation he had. A legend for many reasons.

If you read the title you would see that it's the Bonus Footage. This is not the original release footage in the original video. It's extra bonus footage that was included with commentary. If you want to see the original footage from the video, you can find that elsewhere on KZbin.

Alexis Belzile that’s one of the things I love about the kings of skateboarding back then. They made it “cool” to wear the pads and helmet. In the original Bones Brigade Video Show it actually made it a point to zoom in on Lance Mountain padding up before skating a drained pool. Kids see it and follow suit. Can’t say the same these days though.

@@boosociety999 It's really stupid. Seeing people skate without _at least_ a helmet just makes me think it's just a matter of time before they crack their skull. Not wearing it doesn't make anyone look "cool," it just makes them look stupid.
@ogsxl4 жыл бұрын
Ze Rubenator clearly youve never skated before. Just because you do or dont wear a helmet doesnt mean you will crack your skull automatically
@ze_rubenator4 жыл бұрын
@@ogsxl Even if it's rare to hit your head hard in street skating, even if it's just once in your life, that one freak time a helmet makes all the difference. I haven't skated since I was like 10, but since then I've seen a few terrible bails that would have been nothing if they just wore a helmet, but in stead landed them in the ER. Pointless and stupid. Sure while doing flatground tricks it's probably overkill unless you're a total newbie, but that's rarely what the kids are doing. Concrete is a lot harder than your head.
