Stephen Roby Gleason was a great dramatic actor and a decent composer, too. He broadcast the show live from Miami when all live prime time shows came out of LA or NY because he was The Great One so the network set it up - a big deal when live television was transmitted over many parallel and expensive AT&T lines. His ratings were great so the network made plenty of money.

Who Dangerfield or Gleeson? Hey, whomever it is, we all have our time and let the next crop of people take over. The next Gleeson or Dangerfield is Here. But those guys did have there issues, and mostly it wasn't all fun and games.
@suzycreamcheesez43716 жыл бұрын
uh huh It's Gleason. And it's " their" issues. And "here" isn't capitalized. You do wish to be taken seriously. Correct?

the world needs a hologram of Rodney Dangerfield similar to the Tupac hologram. I hope in the future AI can create 3D renderings of Rodney and recreate his voice with new material, that would rule.

The Ol' Redhead was truly one of the Greats & My Father's all-time favorite funnyman/entertainer. My favorite American was & still is John Wayne, but Red did a wonderful skit about the Pledge of Allegiance that's as good/great as any American themed piece Big John ever did. If you've never seen it give it a quick Google, I highly recommend it 🙏 💪🇺🇲👍

Johnny Carson: Rodney, it’s great to see you again. How are you doing? Rodney: Hey, Johnny, I’m very excited, you know? I just finished my first book. Johnny: That’s great, Rodney. Congratulations. Rodney: Yeah, and now I’m planning to read another one.

The way Rodney could just keep leveling you with those one liners was legendary. The two part formula with a quick setup and great punch line, over and over. The delivery was surgical , the “no respect” and the fact he, Rodney, he was the joke. The best ever
