Installing fron 4600 Bilsteins. Which came with 3 washers. One with the little inner lip. This was the only video or explanation in all of google lands that showed what to do with the 3rd. In this case/ video 4. But thank you!

Thinking of buying those same shocks how do you like the ride so far? Thanks for the tutorial really helpful!
@RodsshopOrg2 жыл бұрын
It made the truck feel and drive completely different, in a good way of course. The truck felt a little loose on the road but these shocks made it felt like it had suction cups on the road. The old shocks just couldn't keep the tires on the road and actually caused this truck to get in a wreck. After the new shocks, it is hard to make it lose traction.

that special socket, do I need that for the job?
@RodsshopOrg Жыл бұрын
Having that socket makes the job so much easier. Sometimes you get lucky and the nut will come off without much effort, but if it has been on there a long time, the socket is the way to go. If you do not want to buy, most all local parts houses do rent-a-tool, just do that.

My customer loved them on this truck, really helped his stopping as he was sliding the back tires. I have these on my Chevy truck, the best ride it has ever had.

KYB's are the best for everyday and a little performance uses. I have used them for years and never had any issues like I have with Monroe and Gabriel

I was installing mine today and reusing old hardware and I realized I was missing a cup washer on one side, would I be able to use a thick flat washer or something like that?
@RodsshopOrg Жыл бұрын
Most parts stores sell those cup washers for shocks in help kits and such. But you can use a flat washer if you have to, the cup is better though and if you can get one, go that route.

Are the rear shocks side specific? I was on another video and the comment section was saying that in the rear, there's 2 different shock lengths.
@RodsshopOrg2 жыл бұрын
There can be different shock lengths but that means as a set, not different from one side to the other. So the answer is no, the shocks are not side specific.

What type of socket did you use for the top of the front shock?? None of mine fit
@RodsshopOrg2 жыл бұрын
I put the socket and link down in the description. It is called a double D shock socket: Shock Absorber Socket amzn.to/3wrr7KO

Spray some wd-40 on old bushings
@RodsshopOrg Жыл бұрын
It is best to use a silicone lube and WD-40 and other oil based lubricants can eventually soften the rubber and cause them to fail prematurely.
