I would just like to note here that the sweet spot configuration of the ally is 20W sustained with 6gb vram allocation. Anything more than is just a diminishing return

I have ally Z1 extreme and it always amaze me that there is no games that it cannot handle. I remember the days that I have to look at the specs if the game will work on my laptop or not. I got a gaming laptop from 2017 Acer VX 15 which has GTX1050 which only has 4gb of vram and its been 7 years with me and it can no longer handle some modern AAA games but other than games it works perfectly fine so ally is the perfect companion to my aging gaming laptop that can no longer handle some games like ratchet and clank rift apart I can just switch to my ally and play all those modern AAA games. I don't want to replace my old laptop as it is still working fine in productivity and entertainment.

If you want battery life and a better feel in the hand, the X. If you want a good price with less battery life, the regular

I think xbox controller layout doesnt translate well on hendheld consoles. Steamdecks layout( all at the same direction) is for me much more comfortable. Easy to reach, my hands dont cramp.

The biggest negative is you have to use windows 11 Oh the humanity!!!! Yea Never update to Windows 11 kids.Mine is still on 10 and i'm proud of it lol

I'm sure it's possible, but as long as I can stay in games and the Armory Crate, I don't want to mess with it. I know how picky Windows can be on proprietary hardware. 😅

@@GJoseeph it works but you need to manually find a windows 10 version of armory crate. You don’t really need armory crate but if you want it that’s the workaround.
