I made a slight mistake buying the PlayStation portal. When I play COD, there’s a noticeable delay because it streams the game from my PS5. Is there any input delay on the ROG Ally or is it instantaneous?

I'd imagine instant as it isn't a streaming setup but runs the game locally on the device. Though I think you can stream games using NVIDIA.

why should there be any delay? it runs on absolute insane native hardware unlike streaming devices like the portal. you will always experience a slight input delay for fast paced multiplayer games when you stream it, as the connection has to transfer insane amounts of data in real time while reacting to your input and send it back to the server. you cant compare a computer (which any handheld is) to a streaming device.

I got the ROG Ally X and it's amazing. There is no input delay since the controls are directly connected to the device.

Hey is 75-86% GPU USAGE Normal when playing a game like Call Of Duty. I don’t know if thats stressing out the GPU but if you have any tips for that please let me know

I sold my steam deck for this, 100% worth it I loved the deck because it was my first handheld ever, but, games were SO limited… don’t listen to people that say “you can make them work”… it’s super annoying Ally X just works
