i have the ally x, and i love the performance. i have it on dock mode all the time its my mini portable pc. My next project will be building an EGPU for it with a 4060. Going to set VRAM to 1 gb and the rest of that 7000mhz ram to system memory.

I was a steamdeck user before,medyo nakulangan lng talaga ako sa performance kaya nag rog ally x ako, namimiss ko pa din steam os kaya nag install ako bazzite os,now i have the best of both worlds.

You forgot to mention VRR on ally x screen category which removes tearing and stutters when a game fluctuates below 60fps to make a game smooth on high demanding game which contributes better on gaming.

Fyi lng bossing though stuck ka sa Steam OS you can install your other games from other launchers like GoG and Epic launchee by using the Heroic Laucher. Also community support for the steam deck is top notch. Kya from Legion go nag Steam deck Oled ako which js by far superior handheld for me.

If arpg like grim dawn , diablo mas ok steam deck cause of touch pad pero sa AAA games ally is far better that is why I have both like kuya Jc Caloy.

Tama mas versatile at mas future proof ang rog ally x. 1080 120 fps at 24gb ram at z1 extreme with 80w battery. Triple A games 2hrs 30 min atleast at 1080p medium setting. Sa Steam deck 800P lang low settings pa

Both Steam Deck OLED and ROG Ally X are best in their own category. Best value handheld console? go for SD OLED. For best overall performance? Choose ROG AX. The price difference of both is huge to make though choices. I'd go for ROG AX if I have the money but I settled with SD OLED because of the ergonomics, software and price. If I need extra power and juice for AAA gaming, I just turn on my PC and use Steam Link to cast the game on my SD. Max Graphics, 90FPS, longer battery life in an OLED panel, so satisfying. You cannot go wrong with either of the two though.

I have the Rog Ally 1, pero mas gusto ko Rog Ally X. Hindi kaya ng Space Marine 2 at Tekken 8 yung SD sa medium settings, lalo na sa Space Marine 2 sa new patch 4.0, nag ccrash sa SD.

Dude valve confirmed na steam OS is coming in rog ally. The thing is wala naman na ma ooffer talaga ang steam deck OLED maliban sa mas mura siya. I have ally for a year now and never ako nagka problema sa lahat ng games ko heck even starwars Jedi and other high demanding games na indi kaya ni deck kaya niya laruin. Also gamepass is big plus specially napaka affordable niya. I only spend AU$11 per month here in aus while a game on steam cost AU$50 plus on a 50% sale on AAA game. Heck even games on epic like Genshin, Zenless Hero, Fortnite hindi pwde ma laro sa deck pwde sa ally. Steam games like CODM, PUBG, Dragonball and any online multiplayer game na hindi pwde kay deck kaya laruin ni ally if you don't like windows you can easily boot it on Bazzite or steam OS. NVDIA Gforece, and even bluestacks so you can also play your android games pwde sa ally while deck cannot.

ang liit ng battery ng steamdeck oled, inantay ko rog ally x pero sobrang overpriced naman nung dumating dto sa pinas. i will stick to my pc at switch oled for the meantime.

mas okay siguro yung rog ally kasi nga windows, pwede kang maraming gawin kasi nga windows OS , if matagal k ng windows user, sisiw na lang ang pag set up ng rog ally, kaso mas mahal sya sa steam deck, yun lang nag downside. 20k difference is sobrang laki. pero if techy ka, at in the future pwedeng maging customizable yung rog ally, like pwede lakihan ang battery para mas matagal ang gaming. go for rog ally.

ROG ally x is terrible for turn based jrpg. You cannot read the in game texts especially in Octopath travelers due to the small screen and aspect ratio. I regret buying the ally x so I retuned it for the SD OLED, and I am so much happier. A truly console experience with a great screen

for me even with the performance advantages of ROG ally X, hindi sya sulit sa 21k difference sa price, i mean konti nlng makakabili kana ng ps5 or xbox SX eh, i have a steamdeck LCD now and its running almost every game and with a bit of tweaks sa settings playable na sila lahat, pwede din maginstall ng windows if trip mo, so for me sobrang deal breaker yung 20k okay sana if 10k lng eh, well thats my opinion.

bumili po ako stemdeck 256 ok namn po sya saapt na subra pa. naka download pa nga po ako warzone mahal nga lang nakaita ko lang sa youtube pano i download plag and play pa. minsan namn kung sa window ka pag tumatagal minsan nag kukurap ang lato error na hahaha

Ally FTW!!! Steam just announced na issupport na nila SteamOS to ROG Ally devices also AMD just announced AFMF2 support for ROG Ally. OLED vs Ally VRR screen really close. I have both pero anak ko nalang gumagamit ng steam deck Oled nasa Ally nako lage haha + + sa windows malaya ka mag online games since pwede mga game guards and anti-cheat systems ng online games

kung tamad ka magkalikot at gusto mo lahat agad agad playable, then go for asus rog ally. if masipag ka naman magkalikot at ok lang sayo na may mga games na nagana at merong hindi, then go for steam deck.

Price per Performance King is the Steamdeck OLED, if you wish to play Really Demanding games might as well do it on the Gaming PC. Whenever I'm interested in playing a game Steamdeck cannot handle in a comfortable state which only happened once so far (Black Myth Wukong) You can stream from your PC. this will also use far less power on the Steamdeck which will let you play so much longer 😜

Rog ally for me, una kong binili si steam deck nuon and sadly, di ko siya masyado nagamit due to its limitations (sorry medyo maarte sa fps haha). Pero ally although windows talaga yung interface nya was able to handle yung games better like rn, playing armored core 6 sobrang smooth sa ally and even sparking zero na mas preferred ko na siyang laruin handheld minsan vs sa PC. Kaya kung futureproof talaga at usability, Rog ally for me kahit yung non X version z1 extreme will suffice. Just my opinion. 🫡

Depends on the game, mostly ubisoft and EA games requires a connection because if their launcher. But the rest doesnt need you to be online (with ofc an exception of online games like DOTA or CS2)

Since mahilig ako sa survival horror like silent hill,resident evil,fatal frame games panalo sakin SD oled! Sobrang goods sa dark room or before bed ganda ng screen! Plus track pad pa gamit na gamit ko sa lahat

Eto para sakin lang. Hindi ko na consider si Steamdeck na budget handheld since yung mga magagandang games need mo pang bilhin ng mahal sa steamdeck store. pero sa gamespass subscription for a month 200 PHP. nakapag laro na ako ng almost newer games like MW3, Res evil 2 and etc. Ito lang naman sa opinion ko. Yung concern naman sa optimization ng game minsan nasasayo naman yun kung gusto mong galawin. normally naman lahat marunong pumunta sa tittle and game option and settings my auto naman ang kada game for best optimization ng experience sa game naka set na Low, Mid, High normally eto lang naman pag pipilian mo malalaro mo na ng maayos yung game.

Binili ko kagad yung Rog ally x kesa magaksaya pa ng pera sa steam deck. Smooth laruin lahat ng AAA games kaya binenta ko na gaming desktop ko dahil may ps5 naman ako. Tama ka para syang laptop na may controller. Kaya ok na ok dahil after ng trabaho higa lang sa bed hawak ang ally x.

TRUE, Yung Walang katapusan na game updates/shader cache updates araw araw sa Steam deck. Surprisingly when I transferred to Ally X, Hindi na nag o-automatic update young games basta basta.

SD OLED napili ko kasi bukod sa mas mura, OLED screen, console-like, tsaka simple lang kaya mas swak siya sakin. Medyo hindi lang justifiable (sa opinion ko) yung price ng Ally X kasi mas mahal, maraming kalikot, tapos hindi parin naging OLED screen (Noong nalaman ko na hindi OLED, hindi ko na tinuloy). Magtatalo lang siguro sila kung mas prefer mo ang windows vs linux

@karl_patrickchua5420 it's OLED not AMOLED (it's a different thing). To each it's own, the Oled display is really the only major thing that the Steam deck can boast.

Anohin mo yung OLED screen kung lagi nalang low setting yung game mo para malaro yung game mo ng stable FPS. Kung trip nyo ng magandang screen pero gapang na frame rate, go piliin nyo SD OLED. To be honest, wag sasama loob nyo. Napaka bobo ng comparison na to.
