Biorn wants to die in a murderous fight -
seeking a warrior's death
Fears an end in the boring Helheim
stuck there for thousands of years
Just like his forebearers seeking Valhall
Raising his horn with the Gods
Drinking their mead and singing with skalds
There he will meet Ragnarok
But luck escapes our viking no end
Battles are tricky to find
Every opponent that he’s ever faced
Found a new way to die
First was the vityaz who impaled himself
Second - he fell off a cliff
Then was the guy who was taken by sea
Longboat got crushed on the riffs
Biorn even thought about fighting a dwarf
Little though glory it was
But even this scrap was quickly cut off
Snitched by a griffin his foe
Sad is the face of the aging berserk
But it just seems to be fate
Dying in battle is something the gods
Clearly don’t want him to have
Suddenly Biorn heard the roar of a fire
Troll raising havoc in church
Moanings and shrieks from the sisters of Christ
Flames are consuming the cross
Loud and clear his battlecry was
Fearless forward he rushed
Felling the evil and fearsome troll
But then he also was crushed
Struck by the poisoned blade of a spear
Sharp like the fangs of Fenrir
Pale his face and blackening lips
Breaths turning short and that’s it
Bravely ascending the warrior’s soul
Up to the Great Halls of Gold
Where ale flows and round the moot
Einherjars are singing their songs
All of a sudden he's breaking his step
Asgard is nowhere in sight
And then he’s standing in front of St. Pete
Guard of the Gateways of Christ
All-penetarting his desperate cry
“Why?!! Is this some kind of curse?!
What did I do to deserve such a plight?!
Why am I hated by Gods?!”
Sadly St. Peter gave viking a hug
Kissed him and showed him the truth
‘Stead of drakar he’s found his rest
Six feet beneath the tree-roots
Sisters are coming with somber demure
Quiet and sad their song
Fragile flowers are weaving his tomb
One that’s adorned with a Cross
