Try to buy a mesh silver band. It's magnetic. I have it on and don't feel the band at all

I haven't heard about a successor to the LEM T other than the TicWris MAX, but you never know. This one surprised us after the LEM4 when everybody wanted an Android 7 watch that was larger. I would imagine it will be more like 2021, but you never know!

I fixed the Google Play issue prior to the update. I deleted the cache for the play store. Then I deleted it and installed it's apk from google. Then it worked flawlessly

The watch is nice, the review- also great as always. But I'm wondering where this tradition to make black plastic cheap looking similar watches comes from? Where's steel? Where are all the different colors? KW88 looked so nice few years ago... Look at how nice some Wear Os watches are- tag heuer, Montblanc! Even Huawei, Samsung or LG. I do wear genesis and optimus pro. But they are almost identical outside and look like toys to me... Which forces me to switch to classical mechanical watch for special occasions. Wish my Genesis was more stylish and luxury looking.

The move away from steel cases and backs came when they folded the antennas into the watch case. Now they need to be RF transparent, and that means plastic at worst and carbon fiber at best. The good old FINOW stainless steel watches are historic collector's items now.

@@SWT I'd agree with integrated antennas rather, if those are well made. My 5 yo KW is still like new. It's a pity they are not using premium materials: carbon, kevlar or even full ceramic. Or tempered glass even. Those would let waves through, but could look and feel way better. And also be way more durable. Yes, it would cost much more, but, I'm sure, many agree to pay for looks and durability.) Btw, just checked: Montblanc summit 2+ Wear Os premium watch is made of steel and has removable straps, but also integrated gps, bluetooth and e-sim... How the heck they managed? I assume display is transparent enough.;)

Thank you again sir! One more question about the ones with water proof. For rollme, rugbid, and lemfo. 1. Can you take pictures or record underwater? Of course I’m not gonna record or constantly take pictures for hours underwater.2. Rollme and rugbid have 5atm for 48hours, just curious. Is the 48 hours the total amount of hours you can have underwater? Meaning for ex, if I go swimming 1 hour a day ( which I do on a daily basis), does it mean I can only swim for 48 days before water will immerse into the watch and be malfunctioned..Or does it just mean don’t leave it underwater for more than 48 hours at a time? Which usually wouldn’t be possible cause no ones gonna swim for that long unless if you lost the watch and it sinks underwater or if ure really stuck at sea...Thank you again! I know it sounds stupid, but I’m just being honest and wanna know more.

Probably the Samsung Galaxy Gear S3 Classic, but I never reviewed it. It's just the one I like to wear most. It's out of production now and really hard to get. My other favorite is the Kronos Blade Genesis, also out of production now and really hard to get. I'm enjoying the new ones, especially the PRIME 2.

Yes, identical. Made by the same factory, sold by different companies. When you watch the videos you may see that the box and packaging is different, and the printing on the back cover is different, but everything else, from the tool to remove the back cover to the watch faces that come stock on the watch are identical.

quick question regarding the sports apps, how do you exit from using it? I have a kp and decide to try one of the fucntion, the bike riding but cant end the program without having to reboot the watch, its the same version as the rogbid (to keep it on topic)

You swipe to the right and long press over the large button on the right. When the moving circle is complete, the activity exits and you get several swipeable pages of results.

T-Mobile should work. You need a carrier that uses the GSM network. The Kronos Blade Genesis would be the best Android watch with cameras because of the camera position on the top and the outdoor visible screen. Sadly, it is currently no longer available and it is unknown if any more will be produced.

Here's the secret trick. Sign into your Google account and go to voice.google.com and get yourself a free personal number. You can make that thing ring on any Android device you own, watch, tablet, phone, computer, probably even your car (not sure about Apple devices though). You can work it to ring if someone calls you on your SIM number if you study how to do it. All you need is connectivity to the Internet, WiFi or cellular (you can get data SIMS for that without a separate phone number) to make it work. It's VoIP technology and way past it's time to be implemented broadly.

Yes, they are, and they are all supplied by a different named factory that makes these watches. This is common practice in China for independent companies to resell the same product with a few changes, like different watch faces or firmware. Think of it like being able to buy a carton of milk at different grocery stores, even if they have different brand names but come from the same dairy.

I did a long time ago when the technology was very new. Google has severe restrictions on anything child related, so I'm a bit timid about reviewing watches for kids, especially if they have GPS.

No, they don't connect in a way that you can answer calls to your phone from your watch. That's called Bluetooth calling and it is not supported on current Android smartwatches. That is why you need a SIM with a separate phone number. If you coordinate with T-Mobile and their "digits" program, you might be able to have calls to your phone ring on both your phone and watch, even if they are not near each other.

Sorry, Android watches don't work with WearOS apps. Only watches running WearOS can pair with WearOS apps. That's the main difference between the two operating systems.

Never heard of an LTE hotspot. These Android watches can accommodate WiFi hotspotting if the carrier contract allows it, but it drains battery real fast and the watches get hot.

This looks like one to upgrade from my Kospet Prime for swimming!! I have a question. I've replaced the band on my Kospet with a metal loop one, which clasp, as designed, doesn't completely separate. That means the circular charger has to sit on the strap. Under the face. My question is do you know of any stand for these android watches. If you find an app that lets you do that from one phone to another phone, or from a tablet or computer to a phone, then you can substitute the watch for the camera recording phone by installing the app on the watch and setting it up. Out of the box it doesn't do this, even when tethered to the recommended WiiWatch2 app.

No! There is no watch with 1.69 inch screens. It's is a typo they refuse to correct. I DO show me measuring the actual 1.60 inch diameter in a couple of different watch videos that try to claim this over-large size. The carrier needs to be using the GSM network. When you go to the buying link it should show the bands supported, and they often have a special area where you can put in your country and it will tell you which carriers should be compatible. In the USA it's primarily AT&T and T-Mobile.

Sorry but there's no magnetic sensor in this one that I can find. No barometric pressure measurement or thermometer sensor either. It's not marketed as an outdoors hiking type watch, though it should be considering its overall rugged build and waterproofing. Perhaps the next generation.

No, sorry, the Thor 5 Pro was the last one with an always on display. Once they left AMOLED screen technology for larger IPS screens, they dropped always on time displays. Too bad, I really liked that. The sweet spot for me was the earlier watches with Android 5.1 and the "always time" display, as they called it, because you could easily check the time and the watch supported both Bluetooth calling and SIM calling. Sometimes we actually take a step back when we over-improve on what's already working.

As a former owner of the Kospet Brave, I find this a funny choice of names. I hope this smartwatch is more successful, as Kospet's I68 watch was terrible, dying the first time I took it into a pool. Also, as an owner of the Rollme S08, I should point out that there are limits to its waterproofing. After a weekend of intense swimming some water got into the front facing camera housing, and even though I was eventually able to dry it out, the watch has never been the same, with lots of problems with the screen digitizer.

Thanks for letting us know. Since this is the most waterproof Android watch on the market, if water still gets in, I guess Android watches are still out of the running. Perhaps a Samsung or Apple watch may be more waterproof. I haven't heard feedback about them with intense swimming.

Rogbid customer service/ email and help is useless. On direct site on Ali they do not answer. Email is not correct on paper work in box and even with correct email they cannot be bothered to answer. So my question to you sir is it ok to leave dock charger plugged in and charge phone like that. Not when in the wild lol. Ok, hold on......you state that this watch is the ONLY Android based watch that is waterproof. Sorry, but your information is dead wrong. The T-Rex by Amazfit, is waterproof to 150 ft. for 5 hours! Otherwise, it's waterproof for things like swimming (pool, ocean, river.....), for however long you wish. It's also far more rugged than this watch! Also, instead of the old school TFT LCD screen, the T-Rex uses an AMOLED Screen.....far superior to TFT in blacks and pixel lighting. Battery life with normal usage after a 2 hour charge is up to 20 DAYS, and standby as long as 30 DAYS! I have been averaging about 16 DAYS with the usage I give it! That beats the crap out of this watch's 24 hours use, and 2-3 days standby. As far as APPS and functions, that is dependent on the wearer. For me, I don't need camera(s) built in, or the ability to take/make calls, but all the other features on the T-Rex are useful and make sense. They also allow the watch to be so rugged, THE most rugged Smart Watch on the market, as well as being as tough as the Casio G-Shocks! Throw in the other 12 Military Grade Specs the T-Rex has, and it makes this watch seem a bit, well, TAME!

All good points, Carnor, one teenie tiny point though. The T-Rex isn't an Android smartwatch. It doesn't run on the Android OS and it doesn't have the Google Play Store for adding regular Android apps. Other than that, it's as waterproof and hardened as they come. Wrap that casing around an Android 7.1.1 package and we would have one 'ell of a watch. Great points about the T-Rex by the way. You make me wanna go buy one!

@@SWT Ah, yes, I didn't mention that the watch isn't a true "Android" watch, but one that runs its app on an Android Phone, or iOS if you have an iPhone. So that is a true point about the T-Rex compared to the Brave watch. Most of what I was comparing was the physical watches, not the platform. But it is a good point to make that the Brave is a true Android watch, and the T-Rex is a "Smart Watch" that runs on Android or iPhone based smart phones. What sold me more than anything else are the durability and the battery life. The AMOLED screen really impresses as well, but if someone is looking for a true Android experience, the T-Rex will not provide that. But, if someone just needs certain abilities; Heart Rate Monitor, Pedometer, Multiple Fitness Tracking, GPS, Compass, Weather, Activities Tracking, hundreds of watch faces as well as having long battery life and durability, the T-Rex is great for that. My wrongdoing was comparing the T-Rex NON-Android based watch to the Brave, which is a true Android based smart watch with all that is provided by running such a watch. I need to be careful and not do that, but just point out what is cool about the T-Rex and not try and compare it to Android based smart watches. Sorry to be so wordy. I have gotten into Smart Watches really hard now, and this T-Rex was the choice I made and I've loved every minute I have had it. I need to invest in an Android Smart Watch to augment the T-Rex just so I can experience a true Android watch to one like the T-Rex. Thanks for pointing that out, and your patience with me being a bit, well, "nasty" in my comparison! LOL!
