Roger Fern Outstanding Achievement Award - 2022 Winner - Leon

When we met Leon, he was a care leaver who was living in supported accommodation. By the age of 11, he had lived in over 60 care homes around the country and his early life had been incredibly harrowing.
On Team Programme, his work experience at Suffolk Mind proved to be a turning point for him and he has since volunteered many hours to continuing to support the charity. Since the course ended, Leon has continued his upwards trajectory, invested in his education, and has now found employment.
