On one occasion his co-anchor, Bill Beutel reported a story about a lawsuit in California alleging that a girl had become a nymphomaniac after falling from a San Francisco streetcar. Grimsby chimed in with “Imagine if she had fallen from a train!” Roger Grimsby left us 25 years ago today on June 23, 1995. R.I.P. Roger.

Here is one that is not on KZbin, because I saw it. Someone read an item about a potency drug that was being tested as a gum, under the name "Sex-Lax". Cut back to Roger Grimsby who did not comment on the story, but mimed chewing, to the delight of the crew.

I just noticed this now prior to his giggle fit- if you look closely enough at Bill Beutel and (is it Tracy Egan) to the right, you can tell they're thinking, "uh-oh, Grimsby's got the giggles, this is gonna be good".

TS and Roger Grimsby came from an era in Broadcast Television News when the Anchors were the Stars. Both of these gentleman were also terrific journalists.

That f-bomb censor towards the end would be happening quite often ON AIR right now if he were still with us and doing the news. Well, that word and others would be censored whenever he'd be covering Trump. He'd rip Mr. Orange a new asshole for sure.
