Roger had a degree in nuclear engineering, which meant that he had MAD computer skills. I had the pleasure of working with him back in the late 90s… great stories and one highly intelligent, and fun, man!

Old school copy/paste, looping, and sampler. lol. But in this day it was done by analog means. Genius !

Part of this was retold in the late 90s liner notes of Gaucho by Walter and Donald. Ive lost in my archives the CD liner notes but trust me they relived moments of the digital recording drum machine appearance. I'm suprised Nicholls was able to relieve this without twitching although he was a pretty cool guy! The best of the best...the proof is in the work nuff said. L1 i think was Linn's drum machine...could be wrong on that model number

I attended the RECW in 1992, hoping Roger would show up. No dice.

Chillicothe Ohio is a very small city in Southern Ohio. Very strange that Roger Nichols is teaching there!

Roger Nichols' voice sounds very similar to Walter Becker's.
