It does not make any sense to describe time and space as well as matter as finite, when things are infinite. We have "arbitrarily" started and ended time and space merely to give us reference-points for our convenience...other points might do as well, but we tend to get comfortable with repetition.

The universe doesn't have an obligation but it obviously is in alignment with mathematics. Mathematics acts as a fundamental language underlying the cosmos. A famous quote by Galileo Galilei "The universe is written in the language of mathematics."

@ There are many more languages written than mathematics, the obligation is built into everything. Some can conceive and some never will. Most, just think they understand, but act on that flimsy stage, in front of the world. The Universe shows them, but they can perceive things only as well as their limited vision allows. To communicate the truth, they fail because they have convinced themselves that they know the truth.

@@jameswest4819 language isn't the same as mathematics. Language is made up and overtime will become more complex with every added word. But many fundamental physical laws, like gravity and electromagnetism, are expressed through mathematical equations, suggesting a deep underlying mathematical structure in the universe. I understand your argument. The same as a fish in the ocean. But mathematics works everywhere including in the ocean. Mathematical Universe Hypothesis: Is the theory that suggests that the universe is not just described by mathematics, but is inherently mathematical in nature.

Indeed, the data we have doesn't prove the Big Bang Theory. But God confirms it in the Qur'an, Surah 51 Verse 47.

Data does prove the Big Bang Theory. The reason why it looks like that is because across the universe there is empty space that is older than the galaxies full of matter. Without matter the passage of time is faster and it is why the new data is incorrect. I don't know of the Qur'an but I imagine it wasn't written by God. The Bible Genesis 1:1 written by Moses "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"
