I just want to pass along my thanks to you for doing this. Inasmuch as certain people blocking what I consider to be free speech in favor of money I hope that they rot in hell! I mean what type of uneducated jackass would try and deprive people from seeing one of the best ever (Roger Waters) perform. Agree that David wisely left this song to Roger. To me David’s rendition of Echoes on Live In Gdańsk (with Richard Wright, Jon Carin, Guy Pratt and some other marvellous musicians) is on par with this wonder, as well as Nick Mason’s version of A Saucerful of Secrets almost two decades later.

That's his name? I have not encountered him before. He's playing Dick Dale tuning, guitar upside down stringwise , but the body up the right way (as in Dick Dale's guitar "Beauty") but the neck on the wrong way (as in Dick Dale's guitar "The Beast") Clearly this man is one of those Uber Talents who sings flawlessly and just knows what every fret will give him whatever the setup with total confidence. And hence, people build him unorthadox guitars just to see what he'll do with them. Who am I kidding....he builds them himself right? I bet he does.

Well... I don't really think this is a "version" of Dogs. Doyle is playing his parts following the original Gilmour's solos... Which is unfortunate, there's very little room for him to show what a hell of a player he is. I guess Waters learnt his lesson back in the day, when he hired Clapton to play on his tour -and you don't tell Clapton to reproduce Gilmour's solos! So, this time around, he hired Doyle to do just that. After all, he's a pro. As for Snowy, I'm sure he didn't mind playing just like he did with Gilmour and the Floyd, back in '77.

well I fell in love with Dogs then I discovered the Gotta be Crazy demo version xD about Waters and Gilmour I believe it's just dumb to say one it's better than Another. they both have such pure and peculiar talent in they're own particular away. plus they together build the classic Pink Floyd and should not be evaluated in this way. this is why Pink Floyd is so beautiful. it varies. It has mAterial for everyone and every feeling or necessity. so we should be thankful for it's diversity and accept the brilliance of both this members, a brilliance that's brilliant in they're unique way

That schtick never sat well with me. It seemed like an obvious disrespectful jab at what the Floyd did-“everything in between the lyrics is filler, the audience is bored just waiting for these tedious musical bits to end,” right, Rog?-and a little disrespectful to what Jon was doing *literally right frakking then*. This show was best enjoyed on CD. Having liked that, when I subsequently bought the DVD, I found it highly offputting.

I bought my first Floyd album because I heard it on a TV show called WKRP in Cincinnati. They just played a few seconds of a song with dogs barking and said it was Pink Floyd. It was so different that what I was hearing on the radio at the time. I went to the local record store and saw a Pink Floyd album called "Animals" with a song called "Dogs". Had to be it so I bought it and wore out the grooves. The next 40+ years have been a blur.

I must say that I cried when Roger left Pink Floyd, but after that most of his concerts were The Wall. Yet Pink Floyd continued on. Touring the world over and over. I saw them with Roger, starting Wish You Were Here. Went to all their live shows even after Roger left. The special affects kept getting better. I consider myself lucky to have been a fan of Pink Floyd since their Meddle album.

I do think Roger's a real knob. But, f*ck me, doesn't he half produce the goods. This is just amazing. And what a bunch of extraordinary musicians he's surrounded himself with, too. Carin, Bramhall are just ridiculously talented.... A total triumph.

Yup! My first 4 or 5 lessons were like it as I couldn’t afford a guitar & had borrowed one. Apparently, there’s only about 30 (reasonably recognised) guitarists in the World who play that way. Man, it’s like playing a piano with the keys reversed! It’s nuts!😉✌️🤘🖖

dennis neo but he didnt write dogs Roger came to them with a full album animals and Gilmour wanted some credit for it so he got to make some edits to it Gilmour didn't just write dogs.
