I greatly appreciate your knowledge. My ninth great grandfather was treasurer of Newport in 1639, 40, and 41 as well as a surveyor, captain of the militia and surgeon. I would like to learn more if you are familiar with Captain Doctor Robert Jeffrey. I believe that he returned to England to support business activities in the colonies in 1652.
