Roger I use large toenail clippers to cut my surf fishing line, oversized stainless steel toenail clippers very good. They save my teeth given defence spent @ $100k on my mouth, facial restructure and teeth.

Ha ha ha! He'll live . . . yeah, till he doesn't. I doubt there'd be too many critters that would live with a chunk of abdomen missing like that one did. I would have been keeping him for the Thai fish cakes. You're a gentle man Roger. Good work.

I miss the surf beaches in NSW, Adelaide metro is totally different type of beach fishing. We get no swell pushing in only wind driven. We get a rare bream from time to time , mullet and small salmon ,gar fish on warm calm days, I hooked a snapper when the weather blew up a couple of weeks ago just under 60cm. The big one is chasing the yellowfin whiting when the weather warms up. They are very smart fish and given the heavy traffic the metro beaches get they only hit live baits, beach worms and sea weed worms I’ve found to come out on top better than nippers pipes, the odd one gets caught on shop bought baits but fresh live or self preserved worms are the key. I remember topping the sand dune down the south coast of Sydney and at times you could see the fish in the green of the waves. I loved and still do like the true surf fishing the species that can be caught on beach worms or even pilchards is vast ,I’ve caught some of my best bream on a full pilchards fishing for other species. We have some surf beaches down Victor way but they fish very differently.

love how easy you make it look when you pull one of the worms out , i have one question when you dig with the right hand to grab the worm do you actually touch the worm before you grip it ? thank you for your answer
@samcoote9653 Жыл бұрын
I was always taught to get real close to tue worm before you grip. Never touch them before the grab though or they either shoot back under the sand or youll grab them and theyll be resisting and youll snap their heads off. I always found putting the bait in front of them some of them will come out and crawl partially onto your finger to grab the bait and this is when theyll relax but if they feel your finger move as they crawl over it theyll scare
@samcoote9653 Жыл бұрын
Roger does it a little different to how i was taught though he comes in for the worm from the back, with a finger and thumb either side of the worm. I used to sort of offer the bait from the front and have my finger under i guess the worms " chin" and thumb behind his head and pinch that way
