In this vlog I show you the garden makeover and impart some sad news about two faithful companions who have crossed rainbow bridge. Warning: Contains crying.

Oh Roger, I’m crying with you. We have eight dogs and five cats buried in our garden (we’ve lived in our cottage for forty years). I broke my heart over all of them. My sincere condolences to Lottie’s family and Sue for their heartbreaking loss. RIP Lottie ❤️ and Hovis❤️.

Don't apologise for having a heart that's full of love for your animals. I lost my Marley in 2009 at the age of 14. Had to make the awful decisions you spoke of. I too couldn't go to the vet and my husband was with him at the end. I thought I was OK but sobbed my heart out when I collected his ashes. 😢. My Darcy is now getting older, she will be 13 in February. Labradors thankfully can live long lives. Hopefully she has a few more years to go. Enjoy your dogs and give them all the love you can. ❤

Ahhhhhh roger so sad. I lost my 14 year old Finlay a bedlington terrier two weeks today. It was sudden, heart failure. He died in my husbands arms 2am. We had him privately cremated and we will be spreading his ashes at his favourite beach. I will keep some of his ashes in a special pot. I’m heart broken I miss him so much it was such a shock as he was so well, people thought he was a puppy. Although we have Lola who is also 14 the house is so empty, he was such a kind and sweet dog. I feel your pain roger. Peace 🧚

I had my lovely Harry (little doggie) for over 17 years. He was my everything, and i can say that since it was very true. I was on my own in a one bedroom flat when i met my Harry outside in a box one evening. Some devil thrown him out in the street he was only small and crying. I took him in and gave him a new loving home. For the first time in his life and in mine we both found what we were missing. Everyday when i would come home from work he would jump like crazy, licking me all over, showing me how grateful he was that i was his family. And i was grateful to have someone so wonderful like him waiting for me everyday. But one evening when i came home, it was a different story. Harry wasnt jumping around anymore. He was just laying in his doggie bed breathing slowly and heavily. I knew this was serious and i called the doctor. But it was too late. I took him into my arms and to this day when i think about it it makes me tear up really badley. Harry looked straight into my eyes, as if he smiled at me a bit, he took one last deep breath and with a small quiet squeak he was gone. He waited for me to come home from work, to see me one last time. I can never understand people who say things like "oh its just an animal" i mean yes, yes they are animals but to us they are our little family members. They give us their true love, everyday and it hurts to see them go over the rainbow bringe forever. However i do belive that we will see them one day. When the time comes we will be all reunited with the ones we once loved so so much, and missed even more everyday. Harry *2005-2022 Ps love the new garden looks wonderful 😊

Hi Roger, I’m still a viewer but have stopped commenting on any videos due to a rather nasty stalker, I don’t want to bring trouble to other channels. However, for this I just want to send my love to you as a fellow dog lover. I still cry over every animal I’ve lost, cats, dogs horses. So heartbreaking, not sure why we do it to ourselves but as you say, it’s the price we pay and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

You don't ever need to apologise for crying. Dogs and cats in fact any pet is part of the family and is the same as losing a family member. My dog is getting on now and I worry about the day we loose her. Dogs will always be in our hearts.

Our pets are our family. I have lost 4 very beloved pets over the years and miss them all but as you say you have to remember the love, companionship and fun you had with them xx😘

I went to a medium who said he had my father there and he was with a brown and white terrier dog .that was his dog Daisy ,i knew straight away xx

Remember seeing Lottie in your unboxings and demonstrations, as well as Rupert in your very old videos as well. I understand your pain even though I haven't lost a pet the thought of losing my cat one day is scary!

You have had me in tears Roger, my Dad has one of his dogs buried in his garden and often puts a chair there in Summer and talks to her.One of my own dogs and cats is buried in our currant home in nice weather I often visit the end of the garden to say hello x

Absolutely No reason to apologise Roger. I totally understand the pain losing your beloved pets bring. I lost my dog Stiffler ( yes i know!) 😂 and 6 months later his little wife Polly (as we called her). In between losing them , i lost my hero, My Dad.. The Grieving is something else... So again, Never apologise! for having a beautiful soul. Thats why your little extended family here on KZbin loves you!

Oh Roger. I’m so sorry to hear Lottie has passed. So so sad. Thank you for mentioning Hovis. I’m in floods of tears every day. Paul O’Grady said you don’t think about the hangover when you’re at the party. I can understand that, but it is completely heartbreaking. I was with Hovis at the end. Holding her close. Love her so much and miss her every second of every day. I just hope Mandy and Hovis are together. Never apologise for crying. People shouldn’t hide their emotions. Much love to everyone who has lost a beloved pet. You’ll go upwards Roger. You’re such an amazing friend and support ❤

Oh Roger it breaks my heart to see your pain. I feel for you as we lost our cocker spaniel 3yrs ago after struggling with complications of diabetes too. I know personally the difficulties of the twice a day injections and balancing their diet brings. Ironically because we were unable to leave him with anyone or dare rent a cottage or similar we decided to buy a caravan so we could get away as we were getting a bit stir crazy. Sadly we lost our little man a month before our first trip. We decided to go away anyway to try and console ourselves and a delayed start to our first trip away due to water pump issues brought me to your channel as you had put a video up regarding your plight with your water pump. I feel lucky as our little man’s lasting legacy is our caravan and all the amazing memories we make while away in her as I don’t think we would have bought one otherwise, and of course I enjoy all your videos and can’t wait for you to upload each and everyone of them. Like you mentioned in this video we must remember the love and joy our pets bring us to help us through our loss. My condolences to lotties mummy and daddy.

Rodger my heart aches for you. We had to let our West Highland white terrier Murphy leave earth and go to the spirit world, it was awful and I miss him so very much so never apologise for being human.
