What the ingredients to Bio One ? Is it in Home Depot?

Hello, would you happen to know the difference between this product and "AmazonCommercial Multi-Purpose Enzyme Cleaner"? No offense but the generic Amazon stuff is $33 shipped for 2 gallons. Maybe a side by side comparison for a video idea?
@gugion3 жыл бұрын
@@craigs831 I've used the Amazon brand enzyme cleaner along with others like Roebic, Thrift, and others and honestly I'm not sure there's really a major difference. They all work better as a preventative than a clog-clearer.

I think it's great that you leave a bottle of this with your customers instead of just recommending it; this stuff is expensive! But if it works as you say, I think it's worth the cost for preventive maintenance.

Our plummer cleared the double kitchen sink and said pour 2ounces down followed by with a little water .Is this correct and does it matter if it's the garbage disposal side or the other side....thanks

Would it be possible to use bio one for cleaning out the dishwasher drain pipe? If so how would you add it?
@ntexas1005 жыл бұрын
I just had my kitchen line snaked out and my plumber gave me a bottle. The grease clog was 20 or so feet down the line. He told me to pour 4 ounces of BioOne in the drain and let it sit overnight. Something I don't understand. If I pour 2 or 4 ounces in the sink wouldn't it just sit in the sink trap? How does BioOne or any drain cleaner get down into the pipe unless you pour more or flush it down with water (which might defeat the process of the cleaner)? Thank you for the video. Needless to say, I got online to research this product.

I can't believe you asked that question a year ago and nobody has answered yet. I want to know that too.
@lylechipperson34073 жыл бұрын
you let the 2-4 oz sit overnight to loosen and remove any oil/fat in your sink trap, and then it is flushed down. and yes, you can use some and then flush with water but you should always wait so you clean the trap out before letting it down.
@gugion3 жыл бұрын
Any enzyme/bacteria based drain cleaner is supposed to "grow" so you pour down the pipe and while the liquid sits in the trap, the bacteria supposedly spreads (doubles every 15 minutes supposedly) and goes throughout the drain. The longer you let it sit, the more bacteria will grow and feed on the gunk in your pipes. That's the theory, I don't think I've ever seen actual visual proof.
@mickeyromero92332 жыл бұрын
Hope you figured it out but as your pour liquid in the trap that trap overflows at the same time. Imagine pouring colored water down the sink, some of it overflows and goes past the trap
@Nash3608811 ай бұрын
I always tell my customers to run water for 5 seconds to push it out the trap. It does nothing if it’s sitting in the trap over night. It has to flow down the drain a little.

@rogerwakefield The website for Bio One says to pour it down every drain and toilet. Do I need to do this, or just down the kitchen sink that's had to be Roto Rootrd twice in the past year? If so, how do I pour it down the toilet? Does the water have to be drained first?

If I put this in my drains, will it harm my trees?
@TheAudreyduh2 жыл бұрын
Doesn't this just push stuff out of the grease trap and into the sewer? I know our smell is due to improper installation of grease interceptor (gb2) where the outlet leads to a drain with air gap. It makes no sense that the product would fix our issue by going through an improperly implemented gb2. There is another issue where the sanitizing third basin of the sink does not drain into the gb2 interceptor. It goes to another open air drain which is draining slowly. I am going to treat that drain with the bio one instead and see if that helps the slow drain. Maybe that is what the plumber intended? I am convinced we are just throwing money out the window. We could have easily cut the slab and put it under the restaurant.

Hi Roger, I've been hearing a lot of talk about having to get your septic tank pumped 3-5 yrs, I'm in a home that I inherited from my parent in 2015, we moved here in 93 and have never had the tanks pumped, I might add that the kitchen and washing machine don't do into the septic tank. I don't know how much havoc the kitchen drain and washing machine have on the tank, I'm not having any issues, what are your thoughts?

Does this stuff really work? I see like 9 or 10 different enzyme products for sale that all say they do the same thing, but every single one of them when actually testing in a way that can be verified by someone seem to not work. They all say they clean out the drain line, but this is something the average consumer cannot actually see. I have yet to see a single video or even images showing a before and after of a sewer line with using this stuff. On reviews on amazon for these products there are even people who have specifically put lard, bacon grease, and hair into cups with these enzyme cleaners and left them for days, and the cleaners did absolutely nothing. They appeared to dissolve things like pet food and cereal and so on, but stuff that mattered like butter, grease, and sewer sludge just sat there with no activity at all. I have an endoscope I have put into my sewer line and see that I have some pretty nasty grease on the TOP of the sewer line, with the bottom completely clean and I am trying to find a product like this to get it cleaned up, but I cannot seem to find good info that will say this stuff works. The only thing I see is plumbers trying to sell them and the manufacturers, with zero actual proof.
@Sudz282 жыл бұрын
As an at-home test, I took a glass ramekin that we used to hold bacon grease after we used up all the grease (you could still see slight 'lines' of bacon grease on the glass, so I figured a decent approximation for what my kitchen pipes might look like with the various oils and greases that go down them) and put some of this product in the glass. My assumption was that within a day or two at the most, I'd see the remaining grease 'lines' dissolve and disappear but after 3 days there was zero noticeable difference. It would be GREAT if someone could show/demonstrate that this stuff definitively makes a difference or not, but based on my admittedly rudimentary test it does absolutely nothing. I will not waste the money again.
@Halaster2 жыл бұрын
@@Sudz28 I did use this, and then checked with the endoscope again after a week later and there was no changes. Checked again another week later and there was still no change. I used no additional oil or grease or anything in the meantime between the tests.
