Thanks Joel, for this classic video, ha! I am about to get three of the Rogue 2.0 Bars to replace three of the 2014 version Castro Bars. The Castro Bars have always performed flawlessly. The issue is my gym is half garage and half outdoor so the rust buildup on the Castro bars is beyond annoying. Yes, I brush them down with a steel bristle brush and coat them with 3-in-1 Oil, but the upkeep simply isn't worth it if I could go without.

Great reviews bro. It seems like rogue just makes a minor change to the Ohio bar and calls it something else. The shaft steel is the same on all the current ones.

For old Rogue bars that do not spin... Get a tube of lithium grease, steel wool, a lint free cloth or shop towels, robust needle-nosed pliers, and sand paper. Pull the sleeves off and clean up the contact points (use the steel wool then the sand paper, then wipe them). Also clean the exposed bushing. Then put lithium grease on the bushings and the contact points on the bar. Then reassemble the bar. The bar should spin like new.

Just got myself the Rogue Castro Bar 2.0. Far as I know it's just the Ohio bar in bare steel. I prefer the feel and even the look of bare steel and have no worries about occasional maintenance.

What is the difference between those bronze bushings or composite bushings on the 2.0 bar? Is there more wear & tear or slop in the sleeves?

I've got an e-coat Ohio bar that I bought a year and a half ago. Granted, it's "babied" because I work out in a carpeted, finished basement, but it's just as "purdy" as the day I got it. Love it!!

Odd the Echo bar only has a year warrantee. Was considering it. Now it's either the 2.o or OHIO Power bar. Like having the added insurance of a lifetime warranty

I’ve seen several rogue bar 1.0. bending but that’s from people rack pulling with them. Any bar will bend if you rack pull with them.

Good video! What's the best all around bar for bench press, squat, dead lift etc... in a hot and cold garage gym?? One that won't rust

If you're looking for something to withstand the weather and rust test, I would go with a stainless steel bar. Rogue just released their Ohio bar in SS but American Barbell also has their Precision Bar. For what you're doing, you could just go with the Rogue.
