There "technically" is a sequel to Dark Cloud, but it depends on where you're from. The US has Dark Cloud 2, but in Japan and everywhere else, it's known as Dark Chronicle. It's considered a spiritual successor to the first game, since the mechanics are pretty much the same, but different characters and plot.

Is there a widescreen option or do you have to deal with the black bars? I think I remember widescreen in the original game but I wouldn't know because I never used it. I may just be thinking of Final Fantasy XII.

This game is a one off game, tho, it feels sort of like a spiritual successor to Skies of Arcadia. That is why I bought it back in the day when it originally released on PS2.

Yeah, the emulation optimizes the output for HD tv's. But the graphics themselves aren't upscaled as far as I know.

Fantasy Godiva - I appreciate your making this video in chronicling gaming throughout the ages. I hate to poop the party though, but the game sucks. This game is terrible. Look out for the SSSSS, who search for artifacts throughout the universe, just like the German SS in 20th century history searching for artifacts throughout the globe. I tried playing this game twice, actually beat it the second playthrough. Seed is pretty cool, but when Jaster turns into the starking it kinda reminded me of Calypso from Pirates 3, just sayin...And what about the Mermels and the Sleegs??? :/

Word to gamers: If you like the battle system in this you might want to try Star Ocean Until the End of Time for Ps2. It's combat is actually challenging, it has puzzles and forces the gamer to think from time to time. That game kicked my a$$.
