It's not like the other star wars movies with 3 films and a decade to change, it's 1 or 2 days. And I think it's more of an eye opening movie. I think they were going to do a sequel, but now they can't. Most of the footage from the trailers weren't even in the movie, a lot were cut and replaced by something else. I am convinced that this movie was going to end completely different, but all the reshoots guaranteed that they would all die. I think originally, at least a few of them would live, including Jyn. The "sequel" they're talking about, isn't really a sequel. She was going to return in a Luke Skywalker spin off. I remember crying and telling my family that the ending depressed me so much because they don't even know if the Rebellion won, I at least wanted her to meet Luke Skywalker. But she could pop up in the Han Solo movie.
