I have the seal row pad and a monster lite rack. The hole where you pin it to the rack does not line up. I am going to sand down some of the uhmw plastic and that should do the trick. Not really a complaint, but it would be interesting to note if you had a similar problem or if this is one of those quirks that happens when using another brand’s products on a Rogue rack.

I’m interested to see how well the seal row pad would work as a lat pulldown seat if you have something like the Slinger. I’m also interested in how well the lever arms work, especially since they’re one of the few I’ve seen where you can set a different starting angle.

Very interested in their functional trainer, and whether it attaches to the Rogue monster light, since the Slinger is a little too expensive for me.

The height option is great because extremely few companies actually offer a rack that short. If you have very short ceilings one of your few, or possibly only options for a rack is Titans. Now people will have BOS as an option.

Yep! Many companies have. Very dee options because it's less inventory and less modifications for attachments like a lat pulldown

I would gladly pay the price for an American-made Rogue if they made their racks as easy to customize as Rep or this one. But they don't. They don't even offer a lat tower. Rogue's arrogance created this opportunity for Bells Of Steel and it's nice to see them take advantage of it.

Just bought a RML today (based in Europe), checked out an almost identical build on BOS to what I ordered. The difference was about $500 less than the Rogue quote but BOS don't ship to my country so made the choice easy. Let hope in the future if they offer shipping and I will have the option for some cheaper attachments from BOS range that fit my RML.

An in-depth video as alway's Adrian. But the best part of the video was you doing front Military Presses with your spotter arms on the Power Rack. I have a rep fitness PR5000 power rack (80 Inches) and I never thought of using my spotter arms up high like you demonstrated doing shoulder presses with a barbell. It works fantastic on my rack and it has the perfect range of motion without hitting the spotter arms and then resting them gently on the spotter arms when you get fatigued. I could never do them inside my rack because I have my pull up bar inside the rack that gets in the way. Great option man, I am glad I watched your video just for the 10 second part that caught my eye, as I would never of thought of that instinctive (or well thought out) movement Thanks buddy!!!

Awesome review. This is an insanely promising rack. I thought BoS was late to the game when they announced this but was happy to be wrong as soon as I found out they were following imperial measurements. Have you used 3/8” attachments with a spacer/adapter to fit your 1” racks? I know that’s a good way to save money but there are even more money saving options now for those who don’t want to wait til BoS releases their 1” racks and attachments.

Thanks for the review as always! I'm awaiting the manticore line for my part as my rack is in 1". But seeing this, especially the seat... It's very encouraging! I hope this will not take another year to release... :) For the lever arms (in the wide sense) I think the whole thing was very flawed from the very origins of the concept, like if no one have thought that this take a lot of place, that it's difficult and impractical to move (even from strong fellows). The first model was bolted if I'm not mistaken.... Those fu©@$er are fingers snappers... It's great to see that every iteration, there is improvement... because I strongly believe this has a place in a homegym, but it need to be the quick to deploy item that helps with specific accessory movement. Not some half-great thing that takes 20min to setup. In that sense, it's great to see what BOS did with theirs, the sliders, the handle design... But I think it can be pushed further. It's like a statement that it now a "standard". The lever arms are "supposed" to mimic the hammer strength machine that take 20 sec to setup... If we can get closer to there in the future... This will be fantastic. By looking at what vendetta strength did and now Kaizen DIY (with Gym Pin), in 3-4 years, we might see the some sort of maturity in this... On my side, I actually cut my lever arm (DIY from various sources : Rogue, Titan, local welders) in half so that the bracket with the arm is easy to move and more secure. I just have to attach the second part when I'm ready and I'm done. I got a GOAT attachment by doing this, a "almost not released Griffin lever arm" by doing this too... The only thing I don't have is the slider brackets, yet... If I'm not mistaken, the whole series (Hydra and Manticore) was supposed to come out much earlier but got delayed by the multiple international crisis...

Can you put the flip down safeties on the inside of the rack and are there contact points on both posts or just one? One issue I have is the width of the rack at 49" making sloppy squat walkouts a little messy. If they can make a 47" rack with 1-inch holes, that would be perfect!

I'm finally getting my first rack for my garage gym so I can upgrade to barbell work from dumbbells, how do I make a choice between a Rep 4000 vs. this? They seem very similar, the 80"-83" heights fit either way, and they both seem well built and very similar in features. And they're same ballpark of price depending on exact configs. How much does that ecosystem difference between Metric & Imperial matter? Both sides of it has plenty of attachment options from what I see.
@GlucksGym
@GlucksGym 2 жыл бұрын
It won't matter a ton unless you're interested in the Ares or perhaps other highly specialized attachments. Rep has more color options as well. You can make many attachments work between them with some work. The 4000 now has more holes on the side vs the older system (that the Hydra and Monster Lite has ). The appeal to this rack is its a budget Rogue Monster Lite but they're both great options.

Not seeing a big difference with Rogue, but it's something. The RML-490 is ~$1970 delivered to my Canadian location and a 4' Hydra configured is ~$1782. Now, that's without adding safety straps to the Rogue as it adds $150 or so if I recall (can't auto calculate the price online.) So, maybe at least a $300 savings. I need spotter arms now and very glad however that the Bells stuff can fit the rack I bought last year... if only Bells was one year sooner! Can't compare the overall delivered prices though as BoS spotters are already out of stock in Canada. TBD....

I'm curious about their snap-back mono-lifts and some of the drawings you shared when you were at their HQ in regards to their leg ext/curl rack mount, etc. I'm also curious about any interoperability with Rep/Titan uprights...shimming the attachments with felt or what not. In short, I already have a rack, and love the idea of having a new source for attachments with some innovative features that are normally found at the more niche levels.

7:35 - 7:40 But if you're unlucky enough to be in Europe (especially in Italy) you got just one or two brands, nothing special apart strengthshop, lacertosus and kingsbox and their price are extremely high with absolutely less versatility then both American and Canadian brands! Just an extremely good quality powerlifting barbell from a small Italian company called "power gear" (think about a 29mm stiff stainless steel rogue Ohio Power bar at 429€, something like 400$ shipped to your door) but for racks and attachments you got only basic options sadly, the majority of products rogue sells there are overpriced and we got like 1/5 of the choice you got in the states! (I had to build myself a Swiss cambered bar because they got Chinese very low quality ones with only two handles spacing 20"-29" costing not less than 250€ shipped) Fitness and gyms aren't popular there unless you're in big cities of the north, they're just into football! The first thing I'd ask is do you want to live in Rogue's or Rep's world? For example would you eventually want an Ares or drop in Rhino? Some of those big attachments won't fit on the other. Rack width can matter width specialty bars as well so it really depends where you're going with your gym longterm.

I said this on your last BOS video...but why would you order this vs the PR 4000? very valid question, why are you comparing to ROGUE??? why on earth wouldn't you make a comparison to REP FITNESS. At this point, maybe its important to ask, Are you being paid by BOS for this video? No color options, look at the lack of holes on the uprights (similar to Titan). Price is about the same as REP fitness. If you want budget, go with Titan X3. If you want high quality and not mortgage your house go with REP fitness. Its literally less the $70 difference between REP PR 4000 and BOS hydra...but when you factor in the ability to add color, again why would you go with BOS

This is a true 3"x3" rack that is identical to Rogue's Monster rack. It was literally made to compete with the Rogue Monster Lite. They're the same rack so the comparison is the obvious one. The measurements and configurations are identical. If you don't see how thorough and honest I am I'm not going to waste more energy convincing you otherwise as these videos already take enough time and energy.

I dont think that there is much quality difference between bells and the other companies and when there is a different then it is tiny. At the end the normal user of this equipment who trains at home will be more than satisfied. And plus, the more competation between different brands the more the price goes down and that is good for us all.

Hats off to Bells. Rogue has gotten out of hand with their pricing. You man disagree but feel like Rogue focus is not on the business owners and less on Garage Gym Owners. Just my opinion.
