@@philippjost5292 it is dodgeable 100% of the time on every class by using the terrain on the left side of the arena when walking down the stairs, you stand at the apex of the triangle and when the cast goes off you run down the triangle and he will stop on the apex - just put up video showing how

People use it to get notified of mechanics, no reason to only use your eyes when you have more senses. Its especially common on stuff like frontals that usually oneshot dps. (Im also pretty sure humans react faster to sound than visual input but i might be making that up)

theyre supposed to be jarring so you pay attention. if they were more thematic theyd blend in as the natural ambience of wow, which becomes white noise once you play it a while. the specific sound i bet youre referring to is a weak aura that plays a noise if you get targeted by a spell cast. at high keys pretty much any 'bolt' type cast that some dungeons spam become dangerous and you should at least be aware in case you need to pop a defensive or health pot
