This is awesome. Been looking for this comparison for a long time. Thanks for finally, putting it together. Time to finalize my decision and pull the tigger on purchasing.

To Rogue: Instead of facing out your Infinity series: Make some 35-36 inch crossmembers, allowing all shorties to rack. There's still plenty of space for pull-ups on. a 36 inch pullup bar, and 35 to 36 inch internal width still leaves room for lots of people's pressing needs. Then sit back and sell a boatload of kit to all those who would want a "real" rack/cage, but currently has to make do with much flimsier portable style squat stands. Make available uprights cut down to 60 inches, as well as perhaps some lower drop j-cups, and you'll reach even more people. All with very little investment in new tooling and SKUs. Most people around the world, even most people who lift, tend to live in smaller spaces than what is common in Ohio. A 40 inch wide infinity stand/rack/cage, along with a C-60 or 63, would be a huge step up compared to what is currently available, for all those who simply cannot accommodate full size rigs and bars. The rackable shorties are nice, but racks still need space around them to load plates etc. Everything just gets bigger at 48 inches than at 40. And many of the same places where full size rigs don't fit, are also places where softer, hence wider, rubber place are less problematic than hard competition numbers and steel plates. Which puts the onus on sleeve length, even for more regular, non-Westside, lifters. The "S(natch)" shorties make sense for CrossFit Games, but for someone slowly progressing, the short sleeves makes it hard to fit combinations of change plates, in addition to wide, soft, rubber bumpers.

Would the C70 be a good bar for squats..Not over-head, just normal squats? Or is it too short?

Which bar would be best for deadlifts and squats??? I know nothing about barbells… thank you in advance

For powerlifting movements like the squat the Stump is the clear choice. It has a slightly thicker diameter at 29mm which feels better on your back. More importantly the Stump has a center knurl which helps keep the bar in place when squatting. Smooth non-center knurled bars feel unstable and feel like they could slide around on your back. It’ll work for Deadlifts as well. Though honestly the C-70s at 28.5mm diameter would feel better for floor work and pulling movements like deads and the Olympic lifts. The C-70s would also have more whip (bend), good for deadlifts and olympic lifts but makes heavy squats feel unstable. However admittedly I really don’t notice the whip until the weight goes past 300lbs.

@@JC-ed7pt It's also much easier to subconsciously and reflexively be cognisant of bar endings which are within the envelope of your own height (Says a guy who once used another shorty in a very expensive "luxury" rental where the covered porch, and doors, are all huge panels of glass I would very much not want to pay to replace....). Manoeuvring, for example through doorways, is simply much less scary with a bar which fits between your ankles and forehead, rather than poking far outside your frame. Dedicated training facilities, and some garages, may be sized to fit 7 foot objects comfortably with room to spare, but most smaller residential structures are not. And neither were being hit with 45lb, hard and sharp edged, steel bars given much though when choice of wall and ceiling materials were chosen.
