The wildlife officer that charged FabRats from KZbin hasn’t responded to our GRAMA request for the public charging docs. We have a good reason for pursuing this and I discuss it in this video

It took several months for Paul to get the okay to remove that boat. If those in charge were so worried about the condition of the mussels, why didn't they go LOOK and inspect the boat before giving Paul the okay? Glad FabRats was filming when the officer walked in and started talking. He was bold and brash....Paul was polite and respectful.

Not everyone is suited for every job. When he first demonstrated problems, he should have been moved to a position more suited to his talents and personality. To even suggest he should have what he is entitled to is as bad as his actions. Ask for him to be removed is legitimate, to seek retribution is vindictive. Ask Paul, I suspect he agrees with me. And HE was the person who was treated improperly.

That officer showed his colors when he asked about the removal of the boat from the water when it was obvious that the water had removed itself from the boat long ago. @@gearheadpnk98 unfortunately, it swings both ways too much when people don't act like adults and in this case, if you have seen the videos about his previous idiotic choices of actions as a public employee, I think you would agree that he is an employee who should have been fired long ago as a huge liability and potentially dangerous officer based on his previous actions of trespassing on private property and shooting a fawn in close proximity to children and people's homes, but was instead simply relocated because the paperwork and regs were too cumbersome to actually get him fired as he would have been in any regular private sector position.

Just stumbled on to your youtube channel. Glad to see that someone with a public megaphone has the nerve to stir this pot. As you said in an earlier video (I looked it up) this State agency is tasked with removing navigational hazards from waterways. Why aren't they doing their job? Paul Cox and friends did just that, and unless those mussels can hold their breath for many months, there was no infraction here. Heck, even the mice were in the boat. Hope you can get someone who really cares about Utah, besides yourself, to get some changes made. As you said, this is putting a stink on the state.

I was surprised the fiberglass was still intact as it was. In highschool I built Livingston boats, I still have a eight footer, I built in '77. Sitting next to my 13 ft. 10 inch, 1968 Chrysler Dart. It is fun to see wars between the counties and the state. Back in the summer of 1969, as a summer job between college studies, I threw garbage for Salt Lake County. One day, as we were headed toward the dump, we ran into a road block were the State Highway Patrol was doing spot inspections of the county trucks. As this was before cell phones, it took a while for the news to reach the county offices. When it did, the county was highly upset. Not sure if it was a commissioner who called or not, but essentially the state was told to stop the BS immediately. The state was informed that the county had Mounties too, and there were plenty of state vehicles that could be ticketed, if they wanted to pursue their nonsense. Strange as it may appear, the road blocks vanished. Imagine that!

Could the state or county provide an area to wash boats when they come out of the water if they are so concerned about quaga muscles? That would be the obvious solution to me to prevent the spread of quaga muscles. Sound like a money collection scheme to set up a check point. As you said, not good public relations at all.

As I tell my brother, when I see you arrest a fellow officer on the spot for committing a crime, I'll believe you are really trying to clean up the act. How many videos do you have to see of officers breaking laws in front of other officers and it takes 6months for any charges to be filed if they are.

Law enforcement has been out of control at Lake Powell for many years. I have seen them take over Halls Crossing Marina docks for "Safety Inspections" many times. I have been sited for not having the registration card for my boat that had a valid registration sticker on it. I also witnessed them write tickets for no proof of insurance for the boat trailer. What in the world does this have to do with boater safety? It is a fishing expedition to raise money from people who are there to recreate and enjoy the lake. I have no problem with them checking for drinking and driving or unsafe operation, which happens often. Maybe they should actually do the job people want them to do and leave the rest of the people alone.

We live in CO and go toBullfrog several times a year. When they have the decon station open (about half the time when we come off the lake) and they find out we’re going back to CO, they don’t even inspect let alone decon. So if people are bringing mussels out of Powell whose fault is it really?!?

It's sad to see this type of behavior from a law officer. I am a retired deputy and can tell you the officers' actions would be grounds for termination for Color Of Authority. He must have dirt on someone higher up. Not to mention the story of this officer trying to shoot a deer that people had rescued. REALLY ???

This just goes to show... document everything. Then if you have an overzealous LEO decide that you are in the wrong, you can clearly show that you are in the right to either superiors or courts and ask for compensation or acknowledgement of wrongdoing by the enforcing agency.

If DNR had removed the boat like they should have when the water receded this would not have happened. Don’t remember who Paul Cox or Merlin mentioned they asked if the could remover the boat. Did they get ticketed also as an accessory in this crime? Does state have washing stations setup to insure all muscle are left at lake?
