For an artist starting out with POD, this video is a breath of fresh air when it comes to all those vids on youtube by youngsters saying they’re making $700 a day with POD, or one t-shirt that made them $70,000. For people starting out those numbers a really demotivating and I don’t even click on those vids anymore. I’m sure it’s a good strategy, but even looking for niches and making designs for just that niche isn’t something I’m wasting time on. Because if I do that, all the fun of making designs is out the window. So however long it is going to take me, I’m just making designs I want to make and putting them on all sorts of products and if it takes a couple years to reach a certain amount of designs or income, then that is fine. I just want to be creative. Of course, a decent income is great, but I’d rather do what makes me happy. Creating art isn’t supposed to give me stress, but relaxation 😁 Thanks for the honest and motivating video.

I just pick up Redbubble again and have not made a sale yet. I tried designing by jumping on a trend after watching all those videos you mentioned. I must admit that doesn't feel satisfying as an artist. But I can't deny that those trends are what people are searching for. So I now try to strike a balance, continuing drawing what I like, but keep a look out for what's trending. Combine them once in a while when I feel inspired by the trend. This humble video is very encouraging for me. Actually if you are consistent enough, once you start making one or two sales, the Redbubble alogarithm will start showing your designs to more people. So your sales will eventually snowball.

4k in the first year , as something that can be counted as passive income since it is not consuming attention all of the time, is absolutly amazing
@Zyphon400
@Zyphon400 4 жыл бұрын
It was not passive at all. Creating 200+ designs takes dozens of hourse through the year. And do you know how time consuming it is to upload your designs to different platforms? A lot of hard work and time spent through the year.
@JustAn0therSoul
@JustAn0therSoul 4 жыл бұрын
@@Zyphon400 You misunderstand the concept of passive income, it does not mean no work or easy work or anything like that, i think all passive incomes usally need alot of work upfront, but they pay out over time and if you use amazon or redbubble, you generated income once the work is done without any further efforts. Yes of course most people will constantly create new designs and therefore have more work but technically you could stop uploading for a month or two or you can stop in general and you would still generate money, how much and for how long will of course depend on how much effort was spend in the beginning. With a 9 to 5 Job its unimaginable to just stop working for 2 months and still get paid and thats the difference between active and passive income, neither means chilling all day while your bankaccount is overfloating with money.

Honestly, here in the US is not a "first world country" it probably was but currently poverty can be seen no matter what presidents say. I stopped using such negative term because every country has it own beauty and issues to solve. Given the fact that US has a "decent" economy that does not give ANYONE to degrade other people by calling them "third world country" My respect and admiration to your country and your people my friend.

Hate to burst your bubble but many of your competitors are Americans who live with their parents so they have like no overhead and all the benefits of living in a trendsetting society. Third world benefits are imaginary in this game buddy. It only works for the big companies that are exploiting your labor for pennies on the dollar. 🤷🏾‍♂️

You are a real gem 💎 You are not like other KZbin gurus who make us just fantasize, but not giving us the reality. You are a very genuine person I can see. I really wanted to learn from a person who doesn't sugar coat and I'm glad I found you. Very excited to learn from you, I'm ready for any failure and success. 💜 I have joined redbubble some days ago hope it works out for me, got kicked out from my parent's house even though they knew my condition. I know I worked really hard but that was not my platform, now I have found one.

Thank you for your honesty. Actual numbers showing a realistic experience is encouraging and goes much further than vague unrealistic-sounding numbers. You're so right about these amounts of money meaning so much to some people. Making $3000 a month on Redbubble means nothing to me if I can't make my first sale. When you're starting out, $5 sounds as impossible to make as $5000. This was a great video.

Thank you for this! So many other videos focus on outrageous earnings so it's nice to see an honest & realistic video. I set up my RB a few months ago, have a handful of designs up so far, many designs in the works & actually made $30 in my 1st month. Not much since then, but it's still a good sign, I think! I set up an Instagram & surprisingly got 40 followers with just the few designs I shared in a couple days. Been considering branching out to other sites & after watching this, I think I will.

Great vid. Refreshing to see a real life earnings review and not a "earn £50,000 in 1 month" style clickbait vid. I'm in this for the long term and like you, any extra cash is only a bonus to my income whether that's £5 or £500! Keep up the good work.

I’m subscribing because I like your attitude to money and how just making a little can help a lot! You are inspiring people who have nothing to little and who just maybe want to make something for themselves by just trying and starting. Seeing what is possible. Thank you for sharing this. I’m glad it wasn’t the sometimes boasting KZbinr who proclaimes they do 100k in a month because honestly I think they are just click bait and moneytizing by misleading people, and giving unrealistic hope and promises. I have been doing print on demand for about 8 months and have probably only made about £1500 profit after tax during 2020. I’m happy for that. For me it was my side hustle aswell, and I learnt a lot and proved to myself if I can do it anybody can do it. Keep pushing everybody x

Such a great attitude to have Steven 🙌 And 1500.00 for 8 months on POD? That's an incredible achievement! I think a lot of us may have been duped thinking POD is some kind of get rich scheme. When really it's something that takes time and patience, like everything else. All the best for 2021!

Just stumbled on this video....absolutely fantastic and well done £3,000 plus is not to be sniffed can’t understand the people who are saying it’s not worth bothering with for those amounts. Everyone has to start somewhere.....I do some investing, imagine if you had a full time job and you put that extra £3,000 into investments it could make a big difference. £3,000 invested in Tesla in March 2020 would now in December 2020 would be worth about £15,000 - £3,000 invested in NIO in March 2020 would now in December 2020 be worth about £60,000. So yes £3,000 can be worth having for all types for reason.

This is some great insight. POD is currently sought after to earn extra income, and honest review like this is really refreshing. My channel is about my journey to earning 1M dollars in 2 years, and I look forward to exploring POD among other options

I just wanna say thank you for the video, I started a POD business around 3 weeks and it's really hard push through, when you people being negative around it. Personally I started because I began doing a digital marketing course and I thought trying out marketing for myself would great practical experience. Who knew I'd fall on love with the design aspect of it 😁

Just opened my store on Teepublic. I have a lot more success on Society6 vs. Redbubble. Redbubble purchased TeePublic so I am interested to see how it goes. Then I might too make a video and compare my earnings across different platforms. Thank you so much for the content. You’re very inspiring. Thank you !

Thank you for being so real! I agree with you 100% that money might not be much for someone but it might be exactly what someone else needed to get them by! I appreciate this video!❤

This is great! I totally respect your modest take on print on demand. An extra 4k a year is a nice little chunk of change if you are saving for something special.

Love your refreshing, honest approach! This sounds like a great first year you had! I used to have an Etsy shop several years ago and it took me 4 months to even get my 1st sale. It's not as easy as the "millionaire" videos make it seem (because all those "millionaire sellers" just want you to buy/subscribe to their "classes", that's why). This person just sounds honest and realistic.

Great video. Huge thanks for your honesty. I believe your success will start to grow exponentially in the near future. It just requires a lot of patience. Freelancing is a long term game. It eventually pays out as a result of persistent efforts.

Whether you make $10 a month or $10 000 a month - it all is a success compared to that guy that's all talk and mouthy but have not made a single dollar online to show for it. Or at least you are not draping yourself over your latest Corvette and sipping on cocktails in your swimming pool, showing off your millions, ew! Keep on and love your videos, you are an inspiration.

I definitely needed a video like this right now, so thank you for sharing it! Best wishes 🙂
