I did this and remember doing it at the time as it was well known. It was really only used for levelling your lockpicking. The money was kindda "meh". In terms of effort it's surprisingly tiring to repeat as the mobs are moving in random directions and your brain will get tired. Remebering which you had already done and doing in an organised order was not easy either, so you can try to pickpocket the same thing twice quite often. Definitely where to level though, get the macro on scroll up and scroll away!!

A tip for this (I think this is the terms) if you do /cast lockpicking /use reinforced lockbox you should he able to open all your boxes without manually using the pick and moving box to box. Just put it on your bar and spam the key

So unless u wanna remove all options for grinding g the only real solution is to put some effort into removing bots instead of removing gameplay features I get that your core argument is that blizz are Lazy pricks who dont care about the players to which i definetly agree. My advice for other rogues - DONT DO THIS. The money you make from this isnt anything exceptional, and if you ask me.. I would say its below average. The thing that would make this farm good and would make you a lot of money is "locked" behind a lucky RNG proc. Ive spent like 2-3 hours on this farm and the best thing I got out of the box are two lvl 70 green BoEs. On top of poor results, the farm itself is not only boring, its exhausting. You have to stay focused, keep track of what mobs you pickpocketed, as the mobs are all over the place and are walking in different directions. And also, there is a quest where you get on top of a Titan Keeper and mass murder the undead mobs and peoplpe are doing it nonstop. Some would say that its beneficial to you as they reset the mobs youve already pickpocketed, I say its only annoying as they are disrupting your farming path. Sure, you can get extremly lucky with the drops, but you can also get extremly unlucky and spend several hours without getting anything rare.

Honestly, I haven't seen a single Krol Cleaver or Spineslicer on the auction house, I haven't found anything other than 2 bad green rings in >5 hours of doing this and no one one Wowhead has ever reported dropping one of those epics in Classic. *[5 mins later]* I just looked it up and neither Krol Cleaver nor Spineslicer nor Dusk Blade are even listed anymore for the Reinforced Junkbox. Looks like they have been removed from the game. LOL.

Even if that area was nerfed in terms of pickpocket: Icecrown has a few areas that are filled with humanoids (specifically the elite deathknight quest area infront of ICC).

When I was looking up what Karol cleaver was I got so Hype to try this. According to the comments on wowhead it can come out to a few hundred gold an hour. A few people also counted the boxes it took to get the epics and it was around 1.5k - 2.5k pickpockets per epic to drop. Wotlk hype

I think you underestimate how hard it would be for more than a single rogue to farm this zone. There is no indication for pick-pocketed creatures, you can't even visually see, if a rogue or 100 rogues for that matter are already walking around. I'm not even sure if bots can effectively pickpocket for those same reasons. Plus, you can't avoid needing to ban bots by making the game impossible to bot in. At some point Blizzard needs to support its cash cow and hire some GMs.

Yea I doubt you can script bots for stealth they work mostly for clean pathways like druid gathering or brute force like paladin aoe.

U can see that 10 minutes of farming, getting 14 lockboxes didnt get him anything. He makes it sound really good, but its a joke compared to dailies/mining/stealth running dungeons. The percentages according to the site are .1% chance. that means on average its a 1/1000 chance to get a gem and 1/20000 to get an epic. Now im sure the numbers are abit better, but not a steady source of income. A pally/mage could round up 20-30 mobs at a time and aoe them down. Vendor greens and trash for alot more gold.

This was THE place all rogues came to farm back in the day it's not new, but now you blasted it al over KZbin, it'll get nerfed and Blizz will remove pickpocket tables from these mobs and it'll be another farm lost to the good old days. TBH I think Blizz hate their player base, limits on dungeon farms, limits on raid instance, limits on AOE , limits, limits, limits, almost like they don't want us to play their game and enjoy it, and explore possibilities.

Why would they bot this, when they can just enter any dungeon or whatever and just teleport around and herb etc what they need. If for some reason they would like to bot these mobs you showed us, you wont see the bots, as they teleport underneath the terrain and you can pickpocket, herb etc from faaar away aswell. Every section of the game is tested and evaluated by botmakers, as new content is released. Sadly Blizzard is mostly incompetent in detecting them and if they do, they ban in banwaves, as to not letting the botmakers know easier what revealed them. In any case, opening new accounts as needed, if banned, is not a issue... the creation of new accounts, charname, etc etc is all fully automated and you can run 100+ accounts per pc. And yes, its pretty wierd, but they dont have the tec or willingness/awareness to look for and ban other accounts, its been like this for many many years: imagine you were botting with 8 accounts on each zone and you are running 80 accounts on said pc. They could f.ex ban the 8 in a zone, but the other 72 are safe... no action taken. There are no warden: "oh we just banned 8 accounts... good job... hang on.. there are 72 other accounts running on the same pc... we better investigate".

I am a rogue main in wow it's my favorite class but I've already played and replayed WOTLK with them and now I hesitate I want to make an epic two weapons xmog and really considering going fury warrior instead. I could make a DK or pala but that is so normie lmao. I was considering hunter but eh, I like the pets hunt but not the gear and pve so much. With fury warrior I could do it all. Nice xmog, good pvp, good pve dps + tank... I am starting to really consider it instead. Rogue is great, and leatherworking is really fun in WOTLK tho. But I want rangeeee and with xmog I could fake being a combat rogue as a fury warrior in pvp lmao

@@dropit7694 uhh pal, i have played several rogues in the past, will have one on WotLK sooner or later ... its not about "but i cant do that" and more about "THIS FUCKING RUINS THE GAME FOR EVERYONE" ... i already had my Vanilla experience ruined because broken economy and hordes of bots made it almost impossible to raid due to absurd scarcity and limited supply of required consumables ( basically to get ready for one raid required about 40 hour gold farming investment unless you had a mage alt/main ...) i really do not want to be in economy where anything that normal player can farm is worthless due to absurd amounts of raw gold farmed by bots while rarer stuff is camped 24/7 and unobtainable making us stuck in "i cant get any decent gold becuase what i can get is down at vendor vallue while what i need is costing 10+ times it should have ...
