Amazing job. Just started painting my Rohan. I used darkoath contrast, but I will try my next batch of horses with your snakebit leather. I am definitely getting the skeleton horde contrast. That horse hair looks amazing. Thank you for making great videos.
@Zorpazorp2 жыл бұрын
IF you use snakebite mate, do it over dark grey, and you can mix some of the darkoath and snakebite together, or add some cygor brown too to make it a bit more muited and less streaky :)

Thanks for the tutorial. Brand new painter here and you made me believe that maybe, just maybe, I can do this. I thought the Royal Guard looked great. If you're doing the Scouring the Shire next, I would love to see a tutorial for the Ruffians in contrast paint if possible. Hard to find model before the reprint, so I'm sure more than a few would benefit and I have scenarios waiting to be played...lol

Ye using the old names is what got me to buy the contrast paints. I used gulliman flesh over red for some Uruk hai berserkers like a wash and it they turned out brilliantly 👌🏻

I loved those old colours so much 😁
@sparkitus19885 жыл бұрын
pro tip #1 for the abilities of snakebite leather contrast, use it over gw ironbreaker to create a burnished gold that doesnt need washing. Metallic undercoats work really well with a fair few contrasts, my recommendation is play around on old or unusable models to see what effects you can get. Also try not to pool the paint on flatter surfaces, try and get a clean layer with less contrast on the brush. love this channel dude, keep up the awesome content :)

A mix of dead and spring static grasses for these I think with some tufts, and probabale a pit of patchy plains mixed in and maybe some green and brown foam scatter flock

You are a talented painted but the contrast paints just don't look as good as your normal stuff. The horse in particular would have looked better with a light brown normal paint and a wash of agrax earthshade with a light drybrush. I know because I am in the middle of painting a ton of rohan. Thank you for posting I always enjoy your vids.
@Zorpazorp5 жыл бұрын
I totally agree man, but the time difference is insane for me. My normal horse process is about two hours. This took literally 5min haha! I actually think I'm getting better at making the horses look good with contrast too, I might do a whole tutorial on it soon :)
