Thanks! I was actually very (pleasantly) surprised at how many people seem to be interested in a mostly non-technical overview of RF. If you have any suggestions for future content, please let us know!

I'm really confused with the definiton. I thought RF is below Microwave frequencies. Is my understanding an old definition that was used when signals to transfer information only had frequencies below microwave? Is there a common state of the art definition at all? Or is it at least agreed in the test and measurement field to include microwave frequencies when refering to RF?

Great question. Some people make that distinction between "RF" and "Microwave": we (R&S) do it sometimes as well. But you're correct in that it's a somewhat "older" way of referring to them, and I don't make that distinction myself most of the time. Thanks!
