ROJA DOVE family portrait! Full Roja Parfums Collection!

This is the Walton's family portrait right here😂 Roja has made a few claims sadly that are wrong. If I remember correctly, he said he is one of few that has access to Rose de Mai. Wrong, you can buy it, in fact I am buying some in my next materials haul. Eden Botanicals in the states sell it for example. And it's not that expensive compared to normal rose absolute. Another thing his video of him blending, where he adds drops into alcohol and then smells it. Is in all honesty ridiculous. Firstly, he probably couldn't smell anything on the strip other than alcohol, because a few drops into what looked like 100ml of alcohol (if he measured it) is too weak. If I am making 10ml for example of a fragrance to test, (you would be wasting if you made 100ml!), 2ml would be oils if you want a 20% EDP concentration (you can play around with concentrations later). Most perfumers measure by weight and not drops or volume for many important reasons. For 10ml I make 2grams of concentrate, which I add 8 grams of alcohol, which gives you roughly 10ml. The amount a pipette can drop can vary massively, I have larger (drop - circa 0.025g) and smaller ones (drop - circa 0.015g). If I am making something with Jasmine Absolute I add two large pipette drop (2 x 0.025g), to keep in line with IFRA limits of 0.6% of total composition (including alcohol). Two drops. And that is the maximum jasmine I can add. Yes it's enough, but I think people think that these luxury perfumes have huge amounts! It's legally impossible. I give the Roja perfumers credit that they are very well blended. And the quality is good. But sadly they can run away with themselves and possibly exaggerate a bit? Anyway sorry for the long message but I guess I feel I have something to say. I have kept quiet about this for a while. To be honest, many perfumers I know are even more annoyed with the bullsh*t than me. I usually keep my opinions to myself. But hopefully what I have said may be informative to some. Thanks for the video Ramsey. I also have a 7.5ml of Diaghilev and it is an absolute stunning Chypre. Roja did well with that one.

That is the best refute of Roja I think I have ever read... and YES i watched that video of him at his "perfumers organ" so i know exactly what you are talking about... i also remember him talking about the rose de mai & jasmine from grasse etc....diaghilev is his masterpiece and one of my favorite chypre of all time... maybe in a few years we will learn who really created that masterpiece 😊 Cheers Jura and thanks for sharing 🍻

Glad you like it mate... to be 100% honest sometimes i agree with the high quality take and sometimes i dont ... being into vintage fragrances will really show you what we lost... yes Roja is high quality for what is available now... vintage Antaeus or vintage cuir de Russie from chanel eats Rojas Lunch... again just one mans opinion... and when i say vintage i mean a bottle from that time not an older fragrance that has been reformulated for today and being sold in the modern iteration. Let me know what you think of reckless pour homme.. i personally like clive christian X for men a bit more but i have the 7.5 ml of reckless EDP which is discontinued... i have never smelled the parfum iteration which is probably what you have..would love your thoughts on it🍻🎅

I just bought a 50ml parfum of Creation E pour homme today because all i had was the discovery atomizers 😆 if u have never smelled Diaghilev i think it is the best chypre ever... at least to my nose ... its mossy and dirty and animalic and sexual... when i wear it i just smell my arm and go ahhhhhh all day lol.. i still have 30 ml so i dont know if i can justify it... but a backup bottle would be awesome ... i will keep this website on my radar thanks so much for sharing... maybe next christmas once I am out of juice 😊🎅

I lived in Middle East. Roja is saying wrong. Arabs and Asian says Oud not Aoud. and this only Oud. the letter in Arabic against A is Alif and O here rep. Ain where ain sounds from back of throat and have no similar sound in english , Hindi , Persian and Urdu.

Great video and yet again what a collection, seems to be a reoccurring theme here, I have 2 Roja's 51 Pour Homme and Diaghilev (not at full retail price). Don't agree with the prices but can't get away from there's some great fragrances in the lineup. Clearly marketed towards Middle East, Russian and Wealthy Chinese market as displayed in Harrods. Take a walk around Knightsbridge these days you might as well be in downtown Dubai. As for the Oud pronunciation, 3 yrs? yes in just 3 years in the middle East Roja has clearly become an expert in Arabic! However all said and done, I do really enjoy the 2 I have. Looking forward to your reviews as these lineups have been great.

OMG I bought Diaghilev for my mother for Christmas based on all the hype. I'm not impressed at all. If you enjoy a Jean Patou "JOY" 1920's version enhanced that would be the one. Only thing missing is the Lucky Strike cigarette smoke note and Joan Crawford's photo on the label.

Put one more hidden gem on your list i found and i absolutely love it.. i bought it from Mudassir and secured duck a bottle as well its called Etro Gomma... make sure you get the vintage EDC not the updated EDT... i am shocked no one talks about it... i got royal english leather and Etro Gomma together... the Etro smells like a 500 dollar frag and the royal english leather smells like the discount fragrance😁

I rarely pay full retail for any RD, in fact for most I buy . One website I know of likely gets their RD's from stores that have discontinued a fragrance most likely because of the high retail price. Not too many people walk into a retail store and pull out $2,000 for a 100 ml bottle. I probably don't disagree the finest ingredients are used. Still there are some just as good fragrances out there at a more reasonable price. Probably the most expensive perfume I have seen is a Lalique for $175,000. Okay I suppose if you can afford those $2M diamond covered shoes that Producer Michael recently did a video on you can afford the Lalique and throw the RD out the window.

Danger pour homme parfum & Fetish pour homme parfum & if you like boozy notes Creation E or Enigma pour homme parfum... skip the rest imo

Great collection..Brother there’s no such a a thing as 2 bucks or 5 bucks,if oud oils can cost up to 5000$ per 3ml or Sandalwood or ambergris or high grades of vanilla etc etc!! How it’s going to cost 5 dollars??maybe Jeremy’s fragrance yea not Roja.one more thing! If Roja is not a perfumer who makes his perfumes? And what proves that a perfumer is actually a perfumer?? Thanks for the comment mate.. i only used those 3 or 5 dollar production cost numbers because one of the tom ford perfumers actually posted the cost of his formula on social media last year. Check out Galens chanel the atherialist and you will find it... it worked out to something like 2 dollars and 80 cents to produce 100ml of tobacco vanille or oud wood or something like that... one of the higher end fragrance that tom ford sells for 350 bucks for 100 ml. Now i understand there are marketing costs and you have to pay for the bottle but the juice it self is CHEAP compared to what these brands are selling it for. As far as the perfumer thing goes who knows🤷‍♂️ i view Roja more as a creative director... remember there are less perfumers than there are astronauts on Earth... it is a very very tough profession which takes years of schooling... if Roger Bird is the perfumer of all these scents after being head of marketing at Guerlain for all those years i will eat my words...check out that Ghost perfumer book i mentioned. Olivier and Erwin Creed claimed for the longest time they were the perfumers of all the Creeds... turns out the book proves they were lying about the whole thing... is Roja lying? I think the truth will come out... it always does... if i had to guess i would guess he uses Robertet perfumers... i heard that through the grapevine once and it stuck... but who knows .. maybe Roja is the greatest nose of his generation 🙄 maybe he is another olivier creed taking advantage of someone... my guess is the world has changed and there isnt another Pierre Bourdon for him to take advantage of 🤣 thats why my $ is on one of the big flavoring houses like Robertet and they have some NDA up front about the fact that the real perfumier wont be disclosed🤷‍♂️

@@RamseytheRam Most likely Robertet is the fragrance source and a 3rd party is manufacturing. There are only likely a few makers of fragrance oils. I kind of believe Guerlain makes their own oils and Micallef. Mandy Aftel from California I believe hand makes her orders from oils she likely sources. Dossier and Dapper make some really good copies at a knock off price you can't beat. Some I've bought and they are darn close to the original.

@@RamseytheRam It's beautiful. Elemi, cardamon and benzoin are the main notes (to me). It's one of the Rojas that seems to me to be an original formula, but if I had to point to something a bit similar I'd say Voyage d'Hermes is the closest thing I've smelled. But VdH never made me go "Wow" on first sniff the way A Midsummer Dream did. I'd be curious to hear what you think when you get round to it!

It is an insane pricing model... but Roja discovered the cash windfall of having a veblen good... higher priced good are inharently more desireable to human beings... he has some bangers... but he also has a lot that i think are dissapointing... people just think higher priced = better...not always the case in the fragrance game as you know ... cheers mate 🍻 thanks for watching and commenting as always 🙂

Does it matter if Roja is a professionally trained perfumer, he definitely has plenty of knowledge and experience. Jean Baptiste Grenouille was not a professional perfumer either. 😬

I see your point but it matters because he puts himself out there as a trained perfumer... if he just said he was creative director that is one thing but sitting down in front of a perfumers organ on youtube and all that stuff just doesnt sit well with some people ... creed did the same thing and look at them now... all the info is coming out so i just think its bad practice.. and I have a Roja family portrait up so you know I am a fan there are some amazing perfumes ... but i dont think he is the perfumer.. i could be wrong tho 🤷‍♂️.. at least that is my humble opinion

The price is bonkers ... the brand uses top notch materials but I would recommend using those discovery atomizers I showed to get your feet wet... dont blind buy full bottles unless you are sure you love the fragrance 🍻
