654 dislikes for this album is totally ubsurd. In 1992 end, a music director aged 25 emerged n turned the tables of TFM to another level. His salary was Rs.25000 for this album. Hard work and perserverance took him Himalayan Heights.

Infact Roja Tamil Movie was supposed to have been composed by Music Director Mahesh Mahadevan,.who has more than 250 ad film jingle compositions to his credit at that point of time (1992).It seems when the director Mani Ratnam approached and offered Roja to Mahesh Mahadevan, he for some reason did not take it and so Mani Ratnam wanted to go back to Illayaraaja,..but producer K.Balchandra seems tooth and nail opposed to that very idea,. because at that time two of his other Kacithalaya home production at that time was not by Illayaraja ( Annamalai by Music Director Deva,..Vaanamey Yellai by Music Director Maraghadamani a.k.a Keeravaani ). So then Mani Ratnams search brought him to Dileep Sekhar (ARR) then a popular Ad Film jingle composer, who impressed Mani Ratnam in his ' car shed converted to studio' at his home backyard..rest is history :-)
