During 1980s we lived near Apsara Hotel and we used to go to the Rose Milk Bandi in the Main Road and that was a luxury in those times to have the most precious, colourful and delicious Rose Milk with ice cubes. Hotel Apsara, Hotel Ajanta and can you anybody remember Hotel Panchavati, Municipal Office and Park, Sarangadhara Metta, Chitrangi Palace, underground Tunnel said to have been dug during the years of Kings who ruled Rajahmundry? I am the kid who tried to enter the Tunnel and went inside a few feet inside but to stench of bats i could not go further and later this might have been destroyed and concealed for real estate purposes. Also, there were Archaeological findings of a Structure near Chandrika Theatre which was also destroyed and opposite to it now we find Mahalaxmi Hotel. They are the famous and iconic hotels in Rajahmundray and also Hotel Dwaraka where many Film Actors used to stay. I have seen those Places which many have missed. We played and we spent our childhood in Rajahmundry. I hope after Retirement I am going back to my Rajahmundry. Wherever I am my heart is always in Rajahmundry.
