To tell the truth I was a little worried you were getting away from your roots by getting such a nice new boat. Part of the appeal of your channel is that your viewers can easily see themselves in your shoes when you are using such basic equipment to have such amazing adventure and I was worried that your channel would become less relatable with the fancy boat and all the technology that comes with it. Having watched this video and seen that the new boat can get you to places like this amazing lagoon, my worries have evaporated. It’s true that I probably won’t ever have as nice a boat as you, but holy cow this place and your footage are at a whole different level! All the investment and work are paying off and I’m excited to see more trips like this one! Cheers, mate (from Las Vegas, NV)

Absolutely agree! Still remember when Rod giggled at the end of one if his first Misty videos with his wife, saying: "I've got a girl in my videos...... Crazy.... Hahaha" He's made it to 440k subscribers without any clickbait, hype or boob/arse/bikini close-ups. That says a lot about how genuine he is.

Saw a youtube video on boat propellers recently where the blades are actually loops instead, supposedly much quieter and about 15% more efficient for power/fuel usage. Maybe you can look into that as a new boat upgrade at some point! MX-1 Sharrow is what I found when googling, not sure if there are other brands available at this point though.

Hey mate, great vid. For the cooking bench space, I'd recommend using a plastic filleting tray attached to two stainless bars that fit in the two middle rod holders at the front. That way you have removable/portable bench space & it frees up the entire centre of the boat, so if you have a +1 or the family onboard, it won't be a hazard. I also found that the flat camper stove tops sit almost perfectly on the sides of any stabicraft. So you could use the side of the boat to cook, which again, frees up the deck. Cheers for the content 🤙
@chats5957
@chats5957 Жыл бұрын
In addition to this idea, make the filleting table the correct height and you can use it to bridge the gap between the Esky and front platform and remove the need for the cross piece used currently for sleeping.

@@albertfuste9315 Not sure if he's doing it on purpose, but he doesn't say. Maybe to help protect the spot from the crowds. But I saw enough of a clue in part 2 to see this is one of the islands in the Great Barrier Reef off Queensland Australia. This particular island is 64km (about 40 miles) off the coast. When he said it's the furthest he's been in this boat I was expecting him to say how far.
