@@arpitgoyal1965 I have been working on choosing better music. I try to keep it at a low volume in the background. I will have to give some thought to working on Legos.

I'd like to hear you tell us the tricks you have learned doing plywood models like why you have a small block of wood to help with the assembly. I discovered this early on and also learned to inspect toothpicks for defects and wax everyone before use.

Bought the Rokr Curious Discovery solar system 3D model for my wife, who is an excellent, detailed craftsman, and we could not be more disappointed. It's certainly a difficult assembly with many, many parts and steps. However, even with the most careful assembly, the gears just don't work, which totally eliminates the objective. The planets don't turn and she is ready to smash the thing after hours of tedious work.

Oh my, Does it seem to be binding in the base or in the gears that turn the planets. I am trying to get an idea where I should focus any suggestions.

I found an $8 jeweler's hammer (Amazon) a big help. Two other kits that I got later, came with a hammer. One must have been old stock because it came with a metal file with a red handle that is just metal sand paper on all sides (very helpful).

I also bought this kit. Now I'm a little disappointed because Venus and Mercury don't have correct orbits. I'm really interested in when and where conjunctions and oppositions take place. Hopefully you can set the current positions and the round trip times are shown correctly.
