Thank you! Our bow was too tight in between the two pieces of (P11) plastic, so loosening those fixed it for us

Just built mine. And it seems the rear gears are the issue. They move independently of each other but when combined, they stop working. I have to manually apply pressure and the gears move solo of a bit, then stop.
@MartinsAssemblyHaven8 ай бұрын
Hey Irene, Okay I see. There are a few things that could cause that. Are the gear teeth connected properly at the back? Are the gears pressed too tight against the wood when joined up or when sitting on their own? Is there too much friction between the teeth and need a bit more sanding? And have they got plenty of wax on them? Let me know 🙂

I've made sure that everything is connected, lined up properly , and that the bow isn't too tight but unfortunately it still refuses to turn under its own power. I have noticed that when the top gear interacts with the bow there's a little resistance but everything is lined up properly and it turns and moves the bow while testing. While moving it with my fingers it has no problems at all but it feels like the music box itself on line is too weak to turn the rest of the gears. Any suggestions?
@MartinsAssemblyHaven10 ай бұрын
Hey, oh that’s not so good. The music box should be powerful enough on its own, so there must be something else within the model. Of course you can get faulty music boxes but I don’t think that’s it. I assume you used the plastic spacers during the assembly to keep the mechanism slightly loose? You could also give the here’s a bit more sanding if there’s any roughness and apply more wax like vaseline or beeswax just to reduce the friction as much as possible. And is the big gear at the back of it connected properly?

Need help 🙏just built. The cello can operate counterclockwise itself but stuck with bow. To make it clear, the bow once moves to one side, it is unable to go back and stuck. Whenever it stuck, I notice either top or lower gear unable to connect the bow that makes it stuck. I have removed the gear and assembled several times but still fails…if I remove the bow, the gear operates smoothly. I don’t wanna give up but really no idea what’s wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks 🙏
@MartinsAssemblyHaven7 күн бұрын
Hey, so there can I think only be 2 possible issues. The 2 gears behind the bow may be miss aligned or all it is that the bow has to be adjusted when put in the place. It’s quite hard to know without seeing it, but just check the gears are 100% aligned as they should be and if they are, just fiddle a bit with the actual bow until it’s in the right place on the gears 😊

what if the box itself stopped working? like i took off the cello and the music box piece doesn't work until i manually move it?
@MartinsAssemblyHaven4 күн бұрын
Hey, if you wind it up and it doesn’t work, even when on its own, you can request a new one by filling in ROKR/Robotime parts replacement form here: www.robotimeonline.com/en-gb/pages/part-replacement?_gl=1*sdhe25*_up*MQ..*_ga*ODc5MDI2MjE4LjE3MzU3NjA2MTY.*_ga_778Q153WGT*MTczNTc2MDYxNS4xLjAuMTczNTc2MDYxNS4wLjAuMTY3MTQyNzU3Nw.. 😊

Mine seems to play well at the beginning, but it seems to stop when it slows down and sometimes I have to tap the bow to finish it.
@MartinsAssemblyHaven9 ай бұрын
Hey, when it starts and it runs smoothly and then towards the end sort of jams, it could be because the mechanical parts are needing to be waxed a bit more as it sounds like there’s too much friction that causes it to stop once the music box has nearly completed the wind up.

I can't get the rear gear to turn the bottom rear gear, I can move it myself when they are not attached to each other but the bow keeps sticking 😭

@Zephyr-n9r28 күн бұрын
did you check to see that the cogs are lined up - triangle to triangle, dot to dot, before moving past that step? That's what fixed ours it was just slightly out of alignment
@marthellashvedella299110 ай бұрын
Mine is just completely stuck😅😂
@MartinsAssemblyHaven10 ай бұрын
Oh no 😣 Is the big gear at the back properly connected and I assume you used the plastic spacers to avoid over tightened gears? You could also pull out all the gears and give them a bit more sanding and wax them with like beeswax or vaseline 🙂
