Roku Express 4K | Setup & Review | Best Budget TV Streamer of 2021?

Reviewing the fresh Roku Express 4K TV streamer, with a swift unboxing, run through the setup process, a look at the Roku OS 10 and more. If you're after a budget Ultra HD streaming stick in 2021, this is among the very best, with added HDR10 Plus goodness.
As ever, the Roku Express 4K is tiny and discrete. It connects to any spare HDMI port on your TV via the bundled high-speed cable (make sure you have HDCP 2.2 support for the maxed-out visuals). Setup is super simple, and I had no issues streaming content via WiFi, even at that 4K resolution. Sadly there's no voice control via the remote however.

I have got 3 Roku devices in the house now and am very impressed with them. My favourite is the Streambar, def worth a consideration. Especially if your telly needs better sound.

This is one awesome product, I got mine over the weekend and was able to watch the Brazilian Gran prix with no problem on the big screen. I should have bought one sooner but this new model is better than the previous one, so I definitely can’t complain lol. System responds so smoothly and the Wi-Fi connect is instantaneous. Solved all the outdated problems you might have with a tv that is already 5 years or older.

I'm literally still using a roof top antenna that came with my house I bought 23 yrs ago, lol. And it's probably been on the house for over 30 years. I get the bigger channels and locals and they come in clear as cable. But Roku sounds enticing as my aunt bought herself one.

Can you watch freeview tv on it, dont mind going into an app for now tv but want a normal tv guide for easy freeview viewing as well. But everything I look at seems to make you go into an app for every single channel which gets a bit confusing for my non tech savvy partner. Ideally wanted a freeview recorder with Now tv app but doesnt look like it exsists sadly. Spent a week now trying to find a free (ish) alternative for my virgin TV.

Just bought my first ROKU EXPRESS 4k and the Remote isn’t working for some reason. It says it’s Pairing but nothing else happens when you see the Language. We even hit the small round indicator behind the remote

I have one of the NOW TV type units.., which also appear to be Roku based devices.. I don't use NOW TV, just the unit for the streaming services, but there seems to be more and more adverts, which is driving me to despair.. Would getting one of these Roku Express devices help with this..?. NOW TV seem to have lost the plot with the adverts in the last year or so..

Na.. The Amazon 4K Firecube will smash that. Roku are great but save your money wait for Prime Day and grab a 4K Firecube it's super powerful and ultra fast even more than the 4 firestick I kkow I had one before . Also side load apps galore. 👍😎 To note the 4K firecube scaling is nothing short out bloody outstanding with Dolby Vision content from Disney + and Netflix.. Also all HDR10 content is rendered stunningly.
