THE FIX ! Finally, a solution to pair my Roku remote with my 2016 Roku Stick. Removed batteries from remote. Unplugged Roku player. Put batteries back in remote. Plug Roku power on. You are the man!

We just recently purchased a ROKU ULTRA model and as we are getting to know it better we are loving it! Our setup is a 55 inch Samsung Smart TV and for sound we use a Bose Wave radio (one of the original models -- have had it forever but it still works wonderful.) So I forgot to mute the radio and turn the sound on the TV up. Imagine my surprise when after several attempts to no longer hear the sound and properly set up the remote I realized that I hadn't turned up the TV volume and muted to Wave radio. So after all of this not working I couldn't get the remote to power off / on the TV. This video saved our bacon and we really appreciate it. Thank you and thanks greatly for sharing this.

Well Folks, I figured it out. For the one's That Don't Have a reset button on your remote control. Try to find One on the back of your device. That's where I found my reset button. I just unplugged everything again and noticed it. I also took the batteries out of the remote. I waited for a few minutes and Then I pushed the reset button and plugged the device in again. The Roku, Popped up on the TV screen Finally. Then I put in the batteries and I was ready to go. Hope this helps someone

Granddaughter's inexpensive Insignia Roku TV's remote had limited functions, i.e. only power button and down arrow worked. It does not have a pairing button. I tried resetting the TV using its button but no luck. So, saw this vid and unplugged the TV, removed remote batteries, plugged TV back in, turned on then reinstalled the remote batteries. It works now. Thank you! (Ps. Sorry I did the TV reset because had to load favorites again.)

Thank you kindly for the remedy ! I, believe the obstacle that most were encountering, was the Roku, pairing instructions, which direct you to press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds for pairing, when it is not necessary, in order to reestablish a pairing.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU!! holding the home, back, and pair buttons for 3 seconds, then taking the batteries out fixed mine. Mine kept pairing and then wouldn't work, and when i re=paired it it would sometimes show "battery 100%" in the corner of the screen blinking constantly, kept doing it, new batteries, etc. re-pairing normally kept diong the same thing, figured might be battery contacts or something, but i wasn't getting the led on the remote lighting sometimes. but doing the above steps fixed it, been working for a while now, THANK YOU!
