For anyone who is trying to connect headphones to Roku tv with no wireless option for headphones. Download roku remote to phone. Connect the remote to your TV. Once that's done go to settings on the phone remote on your phone screen connect headphones that way under settings .I just did it following a utube video. I didn't have wireless option on my Roku tv. I hope that helps

ANSWER THAT WORKED FOR ME: Connect your phone/device via bluetooth to the speaker. Open the Roku app on the device while using the same Wi-Fi that your TV is connected to. Connect Roku app to the TV, and under settings turn on "private listening mode." Then you can use either your remote or the app to work the TV and audio should come out of the bluetooth speaker. There was a less than a second lag between the TV and the sound on the speaker which is not ideal but works for music. The lag can also be remedied by selecting "adjust audio delay." I did not lose any sound quality or volume with this method for a JBL partybox 310 speaker.

Im pretty sure every roku has this option but most of them only can be accessed through pairing your phone to the roku app. Whatever your phone is Bluetooth conneted to will come through the roku.

Thanks - it worked ! It's just that the Roku's BlueTooth level is so quiet on the soundbar, so I set the volume to 70, whereas the volume from TV box via optical to the soundbar only needs to be set at 12

If I do, will it always connect to the Bluetooth speaker only, or will both sets of speakers work simultaneously? I read online that Roku will only recognize there own brand speakers, as my cellphone picks up the speaker along with every device in the area. But the tv won't find any devices that are available

I think this only. Works on certain tv modules with a roku Os that supports wireless headphones. My tcl tv has roku Os but doesn't support wireless headphones only roku brand wireless. Speakers etc

Some Roku devices don't support Bluetooth direct pairing. You will not be able nor have the option to connect speakers of any kind to the Roku.

Thanks for the video. Do you know how to get rid of the items they add to the left menu? Like there is a something that says 'all things food' I didn't add that or download it. It just appeared today. I really don't like this TV. Roku just shoves crap in your face and all I want to do is watch TV. Like can I get rid of the streaming store choice? How do you stop them from changing the back grounds??? I did NOT choose those. The remote came with 4 proprietary buttons for streaming services that I WILL NEVER USE!!
