I think their lawyers realized they were still vulnerable to some random class action lawsuit. Corporations are always trying to force customers and employees into an obligation to resolve any disagreements via out of court arbitration.

This is what Microsoft got sued for back in the 90's. In order to get the MS Office update, you were forced to remove Netscape Navigator - it was found to be illegal and wound up costing them a lot. just a matter of time before this bites Roku in the butt.

I have a Phillips tv with Roku installed. I had to agree to this last week however I rarely use the roku part of the TV as I've been using the 2nd gen ONN 4k box mostly. The Tivo Stream 4k is slow and Amazon has caused me to not even plug my 2nd gen 4k max in.

Doc，help me,My tv,The automatic update of TCL 65R625 failed and error 004 was reported. The original system was 12.0.0, so I restored the factory settings. When activating the TV, it will automatically update the latest system. Then the update system reported an error, resulting in the current TV being unable to be activated. I used USB to update the system, but it was prompted that the file failed to open and needed to be retried. Changing the USB and formatting FAT32, NTFS, etc. could not be updated. Please give me a solution. If I cannot update to the latest system, can I activate the TV separately?

Yesterday, I was watching a movie with my nana, and at one point, it was interrupted by this "We've made an important update" thing. I just pressed Agree and continued the movie, but when it was over, it still said "Because you watched The Simpsons Movie" (which was what I watched before I watched the movie I was watching with my nana). Today, I watched another movie, and it still said the same thing when I was done! Is anyone else having this issue, or is there a way to fix this problem?

I can't say how but my tv screen went black I push the reset bottom them the tv start talking like PUSH THE BOTTOM IN THE LEFT THEM THE ONE IN THE RIGHT. They are to many bottom to push them it get quiet. I read the trouble shut manual an it set to disconnect the power. After 20min I connect the power back an start talking again. Keep repeating the same. In order to get access to the code you have to push the bottom in the left and so. But never get the screen to open again. Any Idea what to do

Hey Doc I don't know if you're going to read this but for some reason ,my fire Stick 4K (all version of mouse toggle) is not working..
